I am jealous.. On Friday I did F lounge and it was great...

Twice in one day too much excitement for me... Lol

JQ30 got cancelled on me yesterday :(

Luckily I was able to still access the F lounge, reason for it was not so lucky.

Well I might be able to get inon this as well. 2 F loungesin a day. Still on for 15 Oct?

I will be attending a single Flounge, Sydney that is, I am not a fan of 9:00am flights meaning checking in at 6:00am, thanks but no thanks, flight time at 3:00pm with a 12:00pm check in is much more civilized, will be flying to Sydney the night before on DJ.

Haven't seen you on the forum lately Medhead,

Welcome back

Slightly problematic. I currently have a ADL-MEL return, starting on 16 Oct rtn on 20 Oct. I could change the outbound to 15 Oct and book Jetstar separately. But 70 minute connection in MEL with a strict 60 check in cut off. I'm not that brave or stupid.

So only one F Lounge is possible for me. Is it better to cancel my ADL-MEL rtn and book ADL-SYD-MEL-ADL with the credit; or pay the $40 phone fee to change the outbound to go via SYD? I don't care about the cost, just wondering what is better from a functionality POV.

I'm up for at least a $55 change fee. Canceling a booking involves a $60 fee is that per booking or per leg? if anyone knows.

Edit: fare rules say I can't rebook for the travel in the same day if I cancel. I guess that would rule out having the same return date for MEL-ADL. Looks line I'm up for a phone booking fee and a 6am flight. :(

Well that was an educational experience rebooking my flight to get me to SYD. I took the option of changing the first leg of the booking to a multi city over the telephone. This saved my MEL-ADL fare changing from $89 to $139; great I thought even with the $40 telephone fee, I'm still $10 in front. Unfortunately I didn't count on the new SYD-MEL flight having to be a higher fare than what is available on the website, to be a higher fare than on the original booking. Extra $26.

Still don't know what would have been the best option.

Well - after lots of hassling from medhead - I'm in. We're going to a conference anyway, so why not. It'll be a good start to a rather rowdy conference.

And as it turns out I will be flounging twice in one week due to a planned BNE trip a couple of days earlier :!:

I've been considering doing the JQ36/35 double on a Saturday. I'll be interested to hear if there are any shortcuts available such as getting the return boarding pass in MEL.

I went to the extra effort if having a QF flight in the same day on my booking. I'm hoping that allows whoever checks me in at qantas to give me both BPs.

I did consider doing the JQ double and wondered about getting both BPs in MEL. The one tip that might be applicable would be to do online check in and then convince someone to reprint your BP for JQ35.

In the Flounge now as a warm up for Saturday. Lovely Eggs Benedict accompanied by Veuve Cliqout to wash it down. On second glass now and will likely manage another or two prior to boarding... Or perhaps I should try the Bolly. Hmmm. Life is hard.

Try the delicious cheese platter with a few glasses of your favourite Shiraz while waiting for the boarding call.

Hi munitalP,

Think your off the A380 hook, QF11 on Saturday now operated by 744

The A380 thing has snowballed!

SYD/LAX oversold, my seating all F'd up, QF just rang asking Mrs munitalP (who was on separate PNR) to fly MEL/LAX - so now we are both taking the direct MEL/LAX flight tomorrow.

Maybe see some in the QF F lounge MEL - otherwise, catch up next time

Hmmmm. Over the FLounge..... in the sense that I won't fly JQ and get there three hours early for a 60 min flight anymore. If legit on international then yeah, it's awesome! Better than any lounge I've been in.

How do you guys get spa treatments. Never in my life have I managed to get one. I thought JQ 3 on monday i was set.... But no. QF93 delayed by 5 hours. Grrrrr.
