How long until you get to LTP? (Or are you already there ^_~)

I’m just about to tick over to LTG and on very rough maths assuming the same travel pattern and no program changes it’s almost four decades away and I will be 83 years young before I get to LTP.

It may as well not be there from my perspective, because it offers me no incentive to stick to QF post LTG as LTP is so far away and realistically unachievable.

So the likelihood is still I look elsewhere after LTG.

How far away are you or are you already there?

News.com.au are reporting (incorrectly) it's actually LTP1

New Qantas club ‘potentially more exclusive than the Chairman’s Lounge’

Platinum One benefits, which Lifetime Platinum members would be able enjoy for life, include access to Qantas International first class lounges and domestic business lounges, and 100 per cent status bonuses on Qantas and Jetstar.
Members are also able to enjoy preferred seat, priorty check-in and boarding on all flights, priority checked baggage, access to premium security lanes, and have service fees waived on bookings.
Even while they’re not in the air, Platinum One members enjoy benefits including free membership to the exclusive Qantas Golf Club, and can have all their travel queries catered to by the dedicated Platinum one team — that means no waiting on hold with the regular Qantas call centre.

It has taken me 21 years to reach 31K LTSC's, so at the same rate I will make it roughly round about 2050. At which time I earnestly hope I am no longer still in this life...

I'd guess ...never. 3,560 lifetime SCs when I left Q for VA in 2012. VA WP ever since. I guess I'd be LTS by now though. I'm good.

Got 40K SC in 12 years, but now just a regular WP so probably another 20 years at that rate.. hmm if it was 50K or maybe even 55K probably worth aiming for but not 75K.

Currently LT Gold and QF plat for the last 9 years....at my current rate of earn, another 45+ years! I'm currently 24.33% of the way to LTP!!
QF have made a Clayton's offer....so typical of an airline full of maketing bullshit and spin!!

At my current rate, it would take me another 16.32 years.

However, since achieving LTG I’ve changed my earning to BA FF program.

In any case, as @GPH and I just discussed, why would anyone bother? WP can be achieved for around $ 2,500 every year with a bit of creative thinking.

12-15 years for me provided I keep on flying the same amount (have been P1 for 5 years). Oh and provided they dont change the criteria over that period!

Would be interested to see that equation/trip summary.
