And here's the newspaper report.

There's some photos as well, wonder if any AFFers got their mug in the paper?

Liam is around 9 years late ;)

I was the first person to check-in for a commercial pax flight out of AVV, which was AVV-SYD.

Apparently my mug was plastered over Japanese TV, go figure. I also made the HUN (I think I was doing a Starjump, very embarrassing!), the internal Linfox newsletter and other media too. Pictures of me shaking then premier Steve Bracks' hand whilst having a mouthful of muffin (no innuendo; they were handing out free muffins).

I also won a flight on Lindsay Fox's chopper for me and 3 friends that I never took (apparently there was 'no expiry' to it, but i'd feel rude calling and pulling a DYKWIA now).

I did the flight yesterday MEL-OOL... had 25A.. Flew down from CBR.. The engines are huge and the take off was really quiet... As for comfort.. I wouldn't want to do 9-10 hours in the seat. In Seat video was pretty good although couldn't get my iPhone or iPad to work through the screen. And the smell of that new leather... I had most of the media sitting near me in the middle section.. But for Jetstar it'll be a good plane.. But i have my little certificate and bag full of goodies.. I looking forward to QF getting them in 2016.... hopefully

I'd love to know what you call 'unreasonable' leg room. To me, any part of my knees touching the seat in front is not reasonable ;)

Then by your definition, no economy seat is reasonable for me! :)
Can you convince my boss of this fact, and that I need to fly business now.
(yeah ok - so front rows/emergency exits are the way around this - hence i am always logging onto my bookings at -T80 to ensure I get row 4/23)

I will often not move to an earlier flight when I arrive at the airport for this very reason - I am not giving up my row 4 leg room, for being home an hour early. I can work in the QP just as well as I can work at home.

I am only 5ft 10 , but economy ranges from knees just touching the seat in front - to shear agony whenever the seat in front is reclined (I have screamed out in pain before, when the person in front , without warning went from straight to full recline in 1 sec flat.)

Well said. At 6'4", I dislike all economy seats. OK, regardless of height, I hate all Y seats ;)

On a good day when I stand up straight I'm 6ft.. My knees were touching the seat in front on the 787.

Im 5'8 and my legs were touching the seat the seat in front. Scampered back to business class.
