For those in MEL now I'm in the QF J lounge if anyone wants a bite to eat prior to the festivities at the gate. Can guest 2 if required.

First competition, guess how long before one of the first flight certificates is put on EBay

REALLY DISSAPOINTED ... Been moved from 10e 10 f back to row 54 ...
Asked the staff at the gate and they use the "Seat requests represent a customer preference . Jetstar does not guarantee that requested seat will be available "

Had a feeling this would happen when the seat map was wide open on sale release, the shortsightedness of JQ in not blocking seats for their invited guests has resulted in paying customers paying the price.

Similar thing happened to me on the Inaugural SYD-OOL QF flight October last year, I managed to snag 4D at T-80.
I did web checkin at T-24 and it was showing 5D, very disappointed, so I called QF who said I was moved for a wheelchair passenger. Fair enough.

BUT on the day no wheelchair passenger to be found except a DYKWIA passenger with a CL bag tag and a shirt with a European car brand on it. He slept the whole flight with the standard QF plastic headset.. wasn't happy to be bumped for no genuine reason, but still really enjoyed the day with the other AFFer's. :)

Dreamliner crew a little nervous and excited .... We had plenty of questions and looking forward to takeoff ...
