Re: How many Qantas points did you earn in 2015?

What sort of things is the 'More' category? I have zero in that.

When I checked mine in a bit more detail, it was those Red Planet surveys and QBE insurance (for a flight I"m assuming). Not sure what would be causing Steady to be so high. Also, a few replies seem to suggest that credit card churning is still an option for getting points?

The one of the most lucrative and often-used options by the sound of it.

Churn and burn! I'm aiming for 12 card application bonuses in 2016. Already have 2 in play.

QFF.jpgRelative newbie. Just been a member of QFF for a year now. No Status at all. Never flown higher than economy, but hoping to change that and travel in the pointy end one day!! :D Points earned from CC card sign ups and paying lots and lots of bills for family and friends! (Cards & Banking) and a little bit from shopping.

Credit card signups mostly.
Points don't go as far when you're spending for 4

Re: How many Qantas points did you earn in 2015?

Not my best year but still not bad with a lot less flying on QF this year and more on Star airlines otherwise would have been over 250K for flying.

Based on my maths adds up to around 394K

Re: How many Qantas points did you earn in 2015?

Ours went like this for Qantas:

Flights 352,700
CCs. 1,655,284
Shopping 338
More 500,000

We are flying more domestically and we don't churn credit cards as you never know when you might need a Bank or two.
My ability to get the figures to line up was not up to the test.

Interesting. I thought I read somewhere that there were changes in how credit score data was reported that would make it harder to do this approach.

Re: How many Qantas points did you earn in 2015?

Flights 43,915
Cards and banking 91,925
Shopping - 450
Car and hotels - 567
More - 160

Re: How many Qantas points did you earn in 2015?

About 650k (slow year), 100k flying, 500k banking and the rest other "stuff" including Aquire.
Although with recent credit card changes, the banking earn will slide and has me thinking about other programs.

Particularly since only a proportion of credit card earn will be going to QF

Re: How many Qantas points did you earn in 2015?

Last year;
Flights - 526k
CC- 44k
Shops - 5k

Have not yet tried CC sign ups, but is seems worthwhile with the numbers listed in this thread.

* Cards & banking 232k (no signups)
