Miles: 150,612 (down 15,186)

Flights: 52 (down 34)

Class Flown: F 2, J 4, Y+16, Y 30

Carriers: QF 33, CX 5, KA 2, JQ 1, VA 1, EK 7, SQ 1, BA 2

New Airports Visited: 3 KHH, DXB, ROK

Summary: Less flights but mileage not too much different. Was lucky with about a dozen flights to OZ mid year for work. Going to be super tough to retain WP this year but will have fun trying.

Don't have a list like that
Have flown my last sector for the year. According to my BA97 diary:

35 sectors (down from last years 48)
All of them Domestic (20 with QF and 15 with VA)
20 in Economy, 15 in Business (Economy - 10 with both QF and VA; Business - 10 with QF and 5 with VA)
57.1% QF, 42.9% VA (by sectors)
55.6% QF, 44.4% VA (by distance)

Will mean I won't re-qualify VA Platinum and will struggle to get QF Gold as well (but 38 days and 2 months to try)
One of these days, I'll get around to arranging all my travels onto the AFF "My Travels" section...

A quieter year for me; less short domestic and more long-haul international.

2014.JPG

First year since 1991 where I have flown further and more often on an airline other than Qantas

Just looking at the Flight Tracker stats again.

I didn't take a single B747 flight this year; about 85,000km on B777s and 65,000km on A380s.

A sign of the times and something to be regretted. At least there's 1 booked for next year, though!

Total flights: 229 (up 23)
Airports Visited:
ADL, ATH, BNE, BKK, CBR, CDG, CNS, FRA, GUM, HBA, HKG, ICN, IST, KIX, MEL, MLE, MUC, NRT, PER, SIN, SYD, TLV, TPE.
Carriers:
QF 188, JQ 12, TG 10, BR 4, SQ 4, OZ 3, A3 2, LH 2, TK 2, UA 2.
Best flight: TG F A380 BKK-CDG after spending four hours in the F lounge include one hour massage in their heavenly spa.
Worst flight: QF Y B737 PER-BNE red eye, sitting in 4B after spending almost six hours in the QP because we missed the previous flight by 5 minutes!
2014 summery:
My busiest year of flying so far. I have to thank my loving gf who was very understanding of my busy schedule this year. The goal for next year is to fly less Dom Y and burn the points on more Int F. Already booked 5 different airlines in F for the first half of 2015 :)

Thank you for posting the flight number, at 180 odd I was waiting waiting for someone that I could tell Mr AirKat about that made me look good in comparison:)

PER-BNE (and reverse) is one of the worst flights, add in red-eye, 4B and the delay, I winced when I read it. 2015 sounds like a great year with a lot to look forward too :)

  • Total flights: 33 (down 6)
  • Total miles travelled: 44,327 (down 4,426)
  • Classes flown: F 4, J 2, Y 27
  • Shortest flight: SYD-MEL
  • Longest flight: SYD-LAX
  • Airports Visited: SYD, MEL, ADL, BNE, HKG, LAX, LAS, SEA, DFW, ORD, JFK, PHL
  • Carriers: QF 20, JQ 2, AA 5, VA 3, CX 1, VX 1, AS 1.
  • Best flight: QF 453 SYD-MEL as it is the last QF 763 for me. Was in J (Dreamtime seats) and had a fantastic set of crew
  • Worst flight: None really.
  • 2014 summary: Did my first AA SC run and loved it for cheap SCs to retain SG.

With my last flight in about 1 hours time I thought it the best time to update flight tracker and post some stats.

  • Total miles travelled: 54,160
  • Total flights 38, 39 segments (an aircraft stop in Busselton but didn't get off the plane)
  • Most popular BNE-PER 10.
  • Shortest Flight; ADL-PLO (Adelaide to Port Lincoln) which is the last for the year.
  • Longest flight: SIN-PER 2430 Miles.
  • Airports Visited: 12, New airports: 3, ALH, Albany, EPR Esperance, PLO Port Lincoln.
  • Carriers: QF and VA .
  • Most memorable; Perth to Alice Springs on a 717 in seat 1A going to Ozfest in the Red Centre in May.

Here's my stats as a mid level frequent flyer. I enjoy it, well some of it:

Flights: 57 (up 5)
Carriers: QF 15, UA 10, VA 10, AA 6, DL 6, BI 4, JQ 4, HA 2
QF SC's: Fewer and fewer every year...
Class Flown: F 6, J 6, Y+ 4, Y 41
Notes: Getting close to QFF LTG with about 400SC to go - this year or next

BIS Miles: 141,410 (up 15K)
Time in the air: ~ 12.7 days in the air

Airports Visited (in order of frequency): SYD, LAX, BNE, ABQ, MEL, DEN, BWN, DFW, SLC, PER, HNL, LAS, ADL, SFO, BKI, KGI, HTI, HBA.
New Airports: BWN, BKI, SFO, HTI

Most popular Airframe: Boeing 737-800 x 14
Most popular Aircraft: V8-DLC (B788) x2; VH-OEE (744) x2; and VH-ZPB (E190) x2
Airbus: 15
Boeing: 31
Embraer: 4
Bombardier: 5
MD: 2

Luggage lost: Nil; thank goodness.

Best Flight: DL LAX-SYD on B772 in J (9 hours of quality sleep!)
Worst Flight: QF DFW-SYD (via BNE) on B744 in Y (that long in whY...)

Longest Flight: QF7 SYD-DFW 15 hours 8579 miles.
Shortest flight: BI826 BKI-BWN 28 minutes 103 miles.

My Airline of the Year: United (quite a surprise - to me mostly)
My dud airline of the year: Virgin Australia. (marketing can only take you so far - at some stage the actual airline has to get over it's LCC heritage)

MOST IMPORTANT STAT: Games of golf played whilst travelling outside of Australia - 17

Summary:
Even though QF remains my most travelled airline the gap is narrowing every year! And with some genius in QF marketing deciding that as a WP I have to pay for bulkhead or exit row seats in whY, I can't see my QF travels increasing.

This thread got me intrigued and as I need the brain to be active this holiday instead of just digesting food since christmas, I managed to get my usual dis-organised self sorted and here are my stats:

Flights: 82
Carriers: QF, CX, MH, 3K, AK
Class Flown: F, J, Y

BIS Miles: no idea (how do you keep track?)
Time in the air: no idea (plus too lazy to count ;))

Airports Visited (in order of frequency): MEL, SYD, BNE, HKG, KUL, SIN, PEN, TPE, DRW

Luggage lost: 1 with 3K (note to self: NEVER buy QF tix that has 3K connection ever again!)

Best Flight: QF128 in F (AFF lounge crawl )
Worst Flight: 3K SIN-KUL (lost luggage, horrible seats)

Airline of the Year: QF (F), CX (for the generous upgrades)

Dud airline of the year: 3K

Summary:
AFF has turned me into a travel geek (in a very good way!) and a travel addict. It has been almost 2 weeks since my last flight and I am getting very fidgety! Thank goodness next flight is only 2 sleeps away.

Travel Stats for 2014

Hi all

Since we are at the end of the calendar year thought it might be fun for members to post their travel stats for comparison. Here are mine to start the ball rolling:
Just added up my travel stats for the 2014 (I'm an ex-pat Kiwi living in the USA):
*40 trips
*202 days away
*148 flight segments
*9 trips to Australia (2 of those including NZ)
*3 trips to Europe
*2 trips to China
*1 trip to Malaysia
*Countless trips within the US States
*304,877 miles (490,652 kms)
*Equivalent of just over 12 times around the world
*Equivalent of going to the moon and then 1/4 of the way back again

Re: Travel Stats for 2014

Decided today to work out how many flights I have had this year and was quite surprised to add them up.

50 in total, and all for leisure !!!

QF 37. 6 J , 2 Y+, 29 Y

AY 10. 4 J, 6 Y

CX 2. 1 J, 1 Y+

ZL 1 in Y

Best meal was on CX in J regional , with the steak the best I have eaten in along time.

Best flight was on QF in J to HKG on the A380

All this flying, including the JASA I made in January helped me achieve Platinum for the first and probably only time, so will be making the most of it this year !!
