I had a curious thought

With the impending obsolescence of airplanes with 4 engines, I find it amusing that airlines and the community at large still hugely identify with airplanes in this configuration. Just take all the airplane icons you see.

I said it was a fitness feature that allows you to exercise your arm while driving.

She believed me too.

Then Miss H ruined my fun.

My granddaughter came home really excited after being driven home in a school friends parents car.

"Their car is really cool, they have fishing reels in the back and they make the windows go up and down."

Not to get too hung up on it, but the missing corner and the slide-in-place metal cover at the top point to it being a 3 1⁄2-inch format disk. This is different to both the 3 1/4-inch format disk and 5 1/4-inch format disk in that both did not have a missing corner or a slide-in-place metal cover (it was more of a vertical orientation than the horizontal one).

It is weird that some of the icons we use that are universal are based on technology that isn't relevant anymore.
