If 2016 is the year QF reclaims "Enhancement", what do they need to Enhance??

Hi all

image.jpgThought RED ROO the leader of CHEER for Qantas might appreciate some help with members collective brainstorming ?

what kind of enhancement would you suggest ?

Be creative and Twitter an idea...

I think a "simple" enhancement can be to how their call centre operates. I'd like to see them move to a system where if I call up with a booking or other issue which can't be resolved on the spot, the agent who receives the call will manage that issue until it is resolved. Probably requires an upgrade to their IT systems, but nothing frustrates me more than:

1. having to (or being told to) call back later;
2. having to explain myself again.

Make it so that an agent can't just change someones "title" or the entry in the gender field at whim.

[broken record on] daily flights with A330s
1. PER-AKL-PER timed to meet the AA flight to/from LAX
2. PER-HKG-PER timed to meet the AA flight to/from LAX
3. PER-DXB-PER timed to meet the QF flights to/from LHR
code shares both ways with AA for #1 and #2.

[broken record off]

Tell me if you are tired of my wandering

Fred

Edit: perhaps I was having my wishful thinking hat on - HKG should be timed to meet the AA flights to/from DFW... Perhaps the original thought will be applicable in a few months

Automatic placement of shadows for WPs and above (even if they don't hold) -- Ridiculous having to ask every time.
More consistent treatment of P1s. QF is one of the most consistently good airlines in my experience but must do better to deliver promised treatment of most valuable customers.
Make priority boarding work for domestic flights.
Priority baggage too.

All the above should be easy to fix.

In the "dream"category - LTP and ASAs, I agree!

Allow every QF SG member flying QF internationally at least a once in a lifetime visit to the QF F lounge in SYD/MEL/BNE without having to pay for a F seat.
After all, a person who gives QF 600 SC is already putting a lot of flying QF's/its partners way.
And you can't (mostly can't) earn SC from non flying activities, haven't seen any credit cards that give out SC these days, though a lot of you colleagues have said you have seen that.

Finish enhancing the A330s
Start enhancing the A380s
Tell us about the goodies on the B787s

Never again use the word enhancement.

Tell it like it is, sure there will be a storm, but at least the facts, however unpalatable, are better than marketing spin.

:)

I like your suggestion. I might even suggest that to do so simpler and fairer

:)

Poochie, I would love that too. I had 2 years as WP and sadly now no longer, so the ability to have a pass to the F lounge would be so good - particularly as I am looking around for international airfares and maybe not even fly OneWorld if there are better fares. At the moment I do have QF fares booked but how much longer is anyone's guess.
Can imagine there will be howls from some quarters at your suggestion, however.

Perhaps the First lounge pass (+ one guest) should be one of the "rewards" for achieving "life time status"?

Happy wandering

Fred

SG have been doing much better than WP from "Enhancements". Around the time WP lost any time lounge access ( when I was first WP it was any time First lounge access) SG went from 50%-75% bonus points, WP no change in earning. SG recently got priority domestic boarding. Now WP can't select the front row domestically until T-80 when before they could anytime. WP got free exist rows internationally and Aus coast to coast but no longer. Business domestic lounges ( were availible) have been added but they are not that much better than QP in general to get excited.

I think WP need to get a "Enhancement" before SG.

A region-based redemption framework, mirroring the recent changes to SC earn, that doesn't enhance but reduces points required. i.e. 36k PER>East Coast J redemptions, rather than 50k PER>SYD>OOL. Helps us reach those destinations QF doesn't do direct.

Low-point at-the-gate upgrades for SG and above, such as with US airlines.

PER>DXB route on a new A330.

I'm not sure which of the above is the least likely.
