My timing to find this thread is perfect. About to book a SYD night next Wed, so that will give me my first 2 steps (5K for Jan stay and 1K for first stay)

Snap. I'm also doing first two offers, in SYD, on Wed !

I'm at the HI Parramatta, but won't get in until after 9pm (on the off chance you're staying there!)

For the Globetrotter bonus what does the line mean;

You’ll earn for one hotel stay per country

Does that mean only one hotel per country e.g. when I am in HK only one IHG stay counts even though there are several IHG hotels? I was going to split my stay between a few IHG properties but not if it is fruitless!

Yes this means only one hotel per country as per the offer terms "Only one hotel stay per distinct country outside of your country of residence as indicated on your membership profile, at the time of the promotion, will be counted towards this Offer."

Thanks for that info. It's been two weeks today since my first stay under this promotion and my dashboard is still blank. Will check again tomorrow for any progress.

Just on 3 weeks now since stay and nothing showing on my dashboard plus 3 weeks since my renew ambassador membership showed on dashboard but no points into my account.

Nothing surprises me with these clowns lately. Any points allocations have really gone to pack with need to constantly chase them up to get what we deserve

i won't hold my breath then for 20k bonus points for stays in Jan....

At least they were very quick (<48 hrs) fixing an incorrect stay posting.

Do each of the offers "stack"?

i.e. My offers are:

3,000 Stay Once Get 3,000
Thank you for choosing IHG. We'd like to see you again soon. Stay once and earn 3,000 bonus points.
9,000 Stay More, Earn More
Get closer to the rewards you want when you stay 6 night(s) and earn 9,000 bonus points.
6,000 A Bonus Weekend Stay
Stay with us for the weekend and earn 6,000 bonus points. A Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday night stay required.

I'm staying for 2 weeks, which covers all 3 of those descriptions - will I earn 18000 bonus on top of my regular points for this 1 x 14 night stay?

Yes they are stackable. If you are staying for 2 weeks straight you will qualify for each of those offers from the one stay.

Sorry if wrong info in light of Meggsy's post. Went back to check T&Cs and no clarification there

My current offer is recording in $AU. In the recently completed offer it also recorded my $AU spend on the progress meter in $AU. So short answer is local currency amount with no conversion.
I noticed today that my spend progress percentage meter had slipped back a couple of %. I rang IHG to query and was told that currency conversion had not occurred and has now been fixed up to reflect $US equivalent. Apologies if I have misled or given false hope to anyone but it appears that what andye alluded to was correct and it will be $US equivalent.

Ah... Yep, I was staying there Wed-Fri but only saw this thread again today  I must sort out my notifications.

I am about 10USD food and drink spend short of qualifying for over 10,000 points. Pretty devastated :(

Go and have a beer at an IHG property somewhere!

Do you think it might be worth a call to their service dept to rectify the difference.
I know many airlines allow such close variances to be retified in your benefit?
You could always offer to book a night into the future and then just change the dates to suit your next required usage?

Otherwise, it's $280 for this sunday night on Spencer st (25% disc on booking.com)...and at least you get additional points towards the next tier.

But I'd recommend calling service dept for an amicable chat imho

Cheers, Donavan

oopsy, quote to wrong user , doh. meant for Dannyism

Thanks Donovan,

I'm at 86% ($USD 86), so I plan to call up and explain that I thought I was working towards 100AUD, which is my mistake. I am planning a USA trip in June and was looking at staying at the venetian in Vegas, so perhaps if I offer to book that they might help me out.. Can't hurt to ask. I'll let you kn

Thanks
