Yep, looks like that's correct ...

Email came back saying just that - if card says expires in May, it actually means April ( meaning, the cards expire the month prior to what is printed on the card )

Must be an American thing ??

But I still couldn't get any firm statement about a booking in May.

I made an IC booking - got upgraded in 24 hrs. to Club room - but I don't know if it will stick.

Don't want to risk the 'comp.' mini-bar, only to find later, that I get billed !!

Think I'd be better to cancel the IC, and go HI ( given it's actually 20 kms. closer to where I need to be ... )

The upgrade will stick even if the mini bar does not, now should you get a letter welcoming you as an RA......

No letter or email, reducing from RA to AMB, and, the interesting part is ...

Still has 'Platinum Royal Ambassador' on my Account summary ... ??

Ticked over today ... 'soft landing' from RA to Plat AMB until April 2014.

So, a saving of $US150. for AMB renewal ! If you follow the prompts, they encourage you to "renew now" online, and pay the $US150.

( and 4644 worked for me too - 'Anniversary Bonus' )

Is it possible to search for Ambassador free weekend night stays without being a ambassador? I let my membership lapse but looking at possibly getting it again for a 3 night stay in Istanbul, looking at using the free weekend night and then using points for the third night and hoping they let me keep the certificate so I can re use and maximise the $200 fee but just wanted to check what rates they had available for my dates to make sure its worthwhile as I know at some hotels you can book a club room and others you can not....

Its always best flex rates, and I have not seen it not available, if you have the dates I can check!

Thanks markis10, lightning speed reply was looking at 29/07/2013, being a bit dodgy and using points for the last night and hoping they don't make me change rooms mind you Intercon Fiji had no problem moving me after my 2 first two nights

Showing no availability for the Sunday night, is Sunday a weekend in Turkey or do they adopt the Middle Eastern version of the weekend starting Friday???
If I select Saturday it 150 euro for two nights.

Thanks markis10 well bugger, glad I checked and didn't just get it hmmm back to the drawing board it would seem... any recommendations on hotels in turkey was looking at the crowne plaza but it seems to have mixed reviews

Never been to Turkey so nothing I can recommend, although I not the Sheratons seem well priced at 120 euro

Thanks for your help, found a friends and family rate that discounts the Intercon to $115 and the Crowne Plaza for $104 with club access. Just waiting to hear back from Intercon if club access can be bought separately otherwise might just settle for the crowne

Renewed end of February this year. It took 7 weeks for my pack to make it to Sydney. Don't know whether the poor carrier pigeon flew or swam!!!!

Just wondering if anyone can confirm the actual correct weekend night voucher expiry my membership expires July 31 but voucher's have dates of 09/2013 and 11/2013. Is it vaild to the end of 09 and 11 or the the start of those months? Cheers

Should be the end of the month. Also the expiry date of these vouchers is 12 months from the date you renewed your Ambassador membership.

Takes 6-7 weeks. Even the Amb service centre will say to allow 7 weeks. Has every time for me.
