If you can actually find the IHG Rewards Club Community Forum ...
THEY even have all the codes listed on THEIR OWN website !!!
The 'liaison officer' Carolyn has NOT removed the posts ...
Makes you wonder ...
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
Yep, that really makes sense, so if you have "mistakenly" enrolled for a promo they wont even let you remove it!Can't help myself ...
May have 'shot myself in the foot' here ...
Emailed IHG to ask if possible, to change promos.
Below is the response by IHG Rewards Manager:
" We would like to inform you, that once you have registered to a promotion, we will no longer be able to change it. Further, please be informed, that we have targeted members for each offer. In this regard, since you received this offer, this is the offer that you should be registered ".
No, I didn't receive the offer.
I received their response back, after just 12 minutes !!!
Maybe I'll be going 'bye-byes' too ???
Hi. I have only ever received, the Big Win offer and yes recently the double points offer. I have registeredSo on a different tack, how many have received an IHG "targeted" offer (apart from the Big Win offers it seems everyone got)?
I can't recall getting any targeted offers except the Big Win x 2 and just recently an AMB double point offer. I'm curious how many receive these offers without finding the codes somewhere.
That would be nice. I suppose you need to be a RA AmbassadorI have often received the bonus offers or noticed them after logging in as an ad, the latest:

In reality what % of its bookings overall would these be ?While I dont 100% agree (some codes are pretty clear they are for Ambassadors or for Elites) many codes are indeed published all over the place including hotel literature and Priority Club Insider. While I appreciate from looking through the fine print that Priority Club Insider is not in fact associated with IHG it seems to me that many casual observors (ignoring the hard core FT'ers and AFF'ers for a moment) may well have enrolled for promo's thinking they are totally legitimate and have been penalised.
In an internet savvy world published and publically available may mean somewhat more than IHG intended but that doesnt mean they aren't indeed published and publically available, and IHG has done nothing as far as I am aware to ask these websites to remove these codes.
No doubt FT'ers will be talking about a class action, I'm not a fan of legal action in general but this is one case where I do think IHG's behaviour in this regard has been unconscionable.
.
I get targetted offers regularly. Double points, stay x nights etc.So on a different tack, how many have received an IHG "targeted" offer (apart from the Big Win offers it seems everyone got)?
What a true statement, totally agreeSurely the bookings help maintain the top of the occupancy rates for the Hotel and keep people locked in....they have for me
I've only heard of points bookings being cancelled - booking paid or to be paid using actual money have remained intact. I am not sure why they would even cancel a cash booking - the hotel would still want the money, even if you won't get any points.Anybody heard any rumours, about IHG cancelling pre-paid bookings and returning the deposit / full tariff ??
they closed mine in December with no communication, and took 2.3m points out, after a call, they reopened it, and put the points back in as a separate transaction, and took away my RA. last year they got 400 plus all paid suite nights, c USD70K, this year none to speak of.
Given that account was closed last December, it seems to have related to something else rather than the current round of closures. Reading through the details, seems to have related to using multpile BOGO vouchers - wonder where he got them from.An interesting post from FT indicating IHG place no emphasis on a members level or time in the program when it comes to cancelling accounts, and in this case it would appear to their detriment. Grain of salt stuff of course but scary nevertheless.

They did seem to take his status into account a bit, in that they did re-open and credit the points. Not all have been so lucky. An interesting post from FT indicating IHG place no emphasis on a members level or time in the program when it comes to cancelling accounts, and in this case it would appear to their detriment. He could take serfty's advice and convert them to airline miles.I guess he'll have to find some way to burn out those 2 million points, if it isn't going to be for Reward Night stays.
