There have been a few recent trips to NZ without any gift or note.

Hi = Did Holiday Inn Brisbane last week - got there a day early (but booked the extra 1st day at QC in Sydney) was greeted by night manager - ahh you will be here the one night - Advised no - actually have another booking for the following two nights, no trouble and when I signed his sheet it said 17th executive floor, when he found the other booking put me down to the 8th floor, said I didn't mind swapping rooms for following night, then gave me key for 8th. Got to 8th then thought that is not on , went back down and he said it wasn't a downgrade, hmmm. So after argueing the point shot us back to 16th... all other day staff great and the restaurant staff were brilliant, must be because I'm only gold ambassador not plat. rgds Andrew

Can anyone tell me how long you PC Platinum lasts for? is is based on the calendar year? so if you qualify that year, it resets at the end, or is it like QF when it carries over for the next year??

I can't seem to find anything about it.

At the end of the calendar year after you earn it. So, if you get to platinum during this year, it will be good to the end of 2010.

2 Visits to Holiday Inn Burswood in May:

Booked; $99 Queen room.
Allocated: King Spa Room. Welcome letter, drink coupons, breakfast upgrade (Pay continental, get hot buffet) vouchers.


Booked: 25k reward, Queen room
Allocated: King Spa Room. Welcome letter, drink coupons.

I'm getting used to the King Spa room.

PC Gold.

Excellent.. Debating whether to through some points at it to get to platinum (currently Gold thanks to Amex), especially if i got to London in 2 weeks.. got plenty in my MR account..

Booked a King City View Club room - upgraded to a Harbour View Executive Club room (WOO HOO!!)

As an Ambassador received fruit (3 apples), water and half a bottle of red plus card from the Manager.

Currently enjoying afternoon tea and those wonderful views in the club lounge - this is my fav hotel in Sydney!

Crowne Plaza Canberra.

Standard room booked on a Priority Privilege BOGO and upgraded from a King Bed Deluxe Room to a King Bed Premium Room.

We were very well looked after but the hotel needed a few maintenance items in the room pointed out to them. These were things that housekeeping should have sorted for themselves.

The Sea food buffet was ordinary and we found a piece of plastic in the chocolate moose :!: :evil:
