IHG I`m confused

Perhaps someone could help me out here, I qualified WP in Velocity in Aug this year. I haven`t opted into IHG on my account. Today I received a Gold Elite card with an expiry of 2013. Is this normal or a mistake by IHG?

Nope never been in their programme, if I have been comped, then great not much good to me with 8 weeks of the year left though.

It the Hotel benefit still available on you account - once opted it is not longer selectable.

Thats plenty of time for "the big win", chances are your targets would be low to earn 50000 points.

I`ll do some research tonight as I don`t know much about IHG. Just to confirm the options are both available still on my Velocity page so maybe it is a comp? However there was no indication that this was the case on the paperwork attached to the card.

My 'targets' were also 'low' ...

Big Win = 62,500

However, I won't be doing THREE nights each at a 'resort' in Australia ( SC IC + CP HV )

Got everything else ...
