I'm in the QF Lounge thread

I'm in the QF lounge now, enjoying the winter menu and first S&P squid in over 2 years. It is very spiceeeeee!

I was in the lounge from 4 to 6 pm. When I arrived it was not busy but filled up rapidly, more so than BC (before covid). It seems other lounges were not open yet, including EK so were using the QF lounge

In MEL Domestic QANTAS Club till about 11:40. Last visit for a while as I will have WP after my return trip.

Was prepared for a lengthy check-in and security queue and didn’t have that.

Check in at Sydney on Friday 24 June afternoon was not busy. Y check-in quicker than J, so used Y check-in.

I used J check-in and I didn’t have to wait at all in MEL and hardly any queue for security either. Arriving early was a good plan.

In SYD International J Lounge. Last visit for a while as I will be WP when I get back from this trip.

Got off the plane in SYD and headed straight for Gate 15 and joined the queue for the bus. Standing room only and got on. Security etc. queue wasn’t too bad. Worked well.

Enjoy the Q F lounge. I have but don't expect it to last.

Will you be WP.... Please us know.
1st time back since covid right?
After I get back to Australia from LHR next month I will be a WP for the first time since COVID-19, yes.

I decided not to pay points to retain WP not too long before COVID. Friends who I had often travelled with had obtained WP and could guest me in.

Had I known QF were going to offer a one of status credit bonus that counted to lifetime status and further status support, I might have paid points to extend it.

Easy track from Mel Int J checkin at 08:30, then through security in under total 30 minutes to the J lounge. Few passengers in the lounge enjoying the quiet but ordinary offerings. However it is good to be back to some long haul .

In the SYD domestic J lounge for an hour. It's actually pretty quiet. We went past T2 and it looked like a zoo.
