I'm in the QF Lounge thread

Can guest into QF int J in SYD from about 1900 this evening.

Also would very much appreciate in a +1 to F if anyone is there…

An aside, do the QF lounges stay open for later OW flights after the last QF one or do they arrange other access? (Or nothing at all!?)

Can someone explain what the protocol is here please? If I wanted to guest someone into the QF lounge, for example, exactly how would that person identify themselves to me? Do I need to pretend they're an old friend? Does it ever get questioned by staff?

QF defines Lounge access eligibility, including guesting, for the various lounges and scenarios, but doesn't define what or who a Guest is, as such. They are who they are, and so long as they're eligible, I don't think QF cares (for now! ;) )

Cheers,
Matt.

When approaching the counter with the other person I usually just say "I'm guesting in $FirstName", sometimes they scan the boarding pass and that's it!

VA lounge you just hit a digital screen before hitting the reception and just punch in number of guests and on you go. Zero human contact.
Efficiency.

JNB lounge until QF64 can guest 1

im moving about about the Aspire lounge, the other PP lounges and the British Airways lounge if anyone else is in the neighbourhood

Lounge Preference on QF1/QF2. (Apologies if this has been answered, I couldn't find any threads)
For those that have flown this route on J and SG (flying alone), what would your lounge preference be?
- What are you lounge recommendations in SYD/SIN/LHR
- Thinking of Qatar at Changi (heard not may showers, which I would like to do before next leg)

I have applied for upgrade to First....but if all else fails, I would like to change it up.

Typically you don’t get that long in SIN unless the plane needs unscheduled repairs. In SIN you have to go through security again at the gate.

Recently at SIN I went for a 'lounge crawl' to QF, BA and EK (QR was closed until boarding). BA was very quiet with self pour drinks and QR code ordering for drinks to your seat, EK had better (more interesting) food options.

BA had showers that were so quiet the shower attendant seems surprised to see me.

May be worth considering a lounge crawl yourself if you haven't seen all the options yet?

I’m in the SYD dom J lounge until QF425 (~8:25) if anyone is about- can’t guest here, but could pop over to the QP and guest 1 if anyone is in need
