In the pre JQ days, the OOL QP had a reasonable view out to the southern apron area through a small courtyard with some palm trees.

I distinctly recall that lounge.. at the best there used to be only 3-5 pax in there at any given flight departure. Lovely lounge with all the requited benefits.
Fast Forward to 2013.. The 'new" QP in OOL is similar at times to a IKEA cafeteria without the cashier.. But the barista service is efficient & it sure beats the Westfield styled food court departure area..

I'm now at the BNE lounge - my flight out of OOL was cancelled so I am still a OOL virgin (never been there but was originally looking forward to it).

Sitting next to a different guy who is not me in blue jeans, blue shirt with a macbook air. I'm the glasses one.

I wish I was in the PER VA lounge now. It's a much more comfortable spot than the general QF waiting area at Perth for one of my few Qantas flights

Just been in Sydney lounge with gwilli1. Notice they had many pancakes piled up. First time seen that. Looked good with the toppings and cream but unfortunately were cold. Now to the Brisbane AGM.

In MEL now, as are the West Coast Eagles. I thought that they would be given the time of this PER flight had effectively been pushed back 90 mins. The full row 10 on the A332 has been allocated or blocked for weeks which is quite unusual. Will be interested to see if some of their taller players get the extra legroom or if there are some Eagles fans who are plats and plan ahead.

I have a feeling that my flight back on Fri might be with Freo as once again it is a special time and all of row 10 is blocked/taken
