I'm in the VA Lounge thread

As I understand from the cabbie on the way it was too stormy to allow passengers off the plane. Apparently at one point there were 7 arrivals with no one getting off. The Katnook is going down well in the lounge at least

Interesting to hear that the cabbie has the most 'up to date" accurate info...

The airport dispatcher(?) was giving running commentary on the flow (or lack thereof) through the luggage claim and out if the doors. Trust those whose livelihoods depend on it!

OOL airport is overall (***) at best on a sunny day.
- two of those on any sign of precipitation.

Anyone in the Sydney domestic lounge?

all Melbourne and Brisbane flights delay 1-1.5 hours :-(

In MEL lounge now. Have found a less crowded area to the right of the entrance. I won't say quieter though as it seems to be near the staff only rubbish and recycling areas

In the Sydney lounge now, hoping VA973 is delayed long enough to avoid the storms around Brisbane !

Cheers
Dave.

The virgin side of the BNE terminal was shut down about 10 minutes ago. The tarmac was closed too

Upstairs was closed in Sydney again today, during lunchtime??

Was closed when I got there tonight. I have this crazy fantasy they are converting it to a plat/ business Lounge but I've completely made that up. Anyone seen it open recently?

I've noticed it closed the last couple of months, I too thought it may be converted into a J/Plat lounge
