I'm in the VA Lounge thread

I have a curiosity how this works, whats the social protocol of guesting. Sometimes I have been in the lounge and able to guest one, but i just want to have my coffee and catch up on my reading. Other times I havent gone into the lounge as I was with two others and only able to guest one, so could have done with being guested.
Soooo whats the norm when you guest? Is it somewhat expected that you have guested/been guested so its a social thing? Seems it would be kind of awkward to come meet someone sign them in and then say Bye and go sit by yourself !!!

I leave it up to the guest. Some have a chat, others know where they are going and what they want to do and most come back to say thank you.

BNE in the lounge now. Changed my flight to depart at 3pm. Can't guest unfortunately (flying business but don't have status), but happy to have a chat .

In the Adelaide lounge and for once it’s not a zoo. Dead quiet and the pumpkin soup with a sparking is going down just nicely
