Poor old ADL lounge not coping thanks to a stack of delays. People standing in any little bit of space available. Staff have started turning some passengers away due to overcrowding. We were initially denied entry but after a little DYKWIA moment all was good and they found room 😂

Not sure if this is the right thread, but I wanted to comment on how good the HK Airlines lounge is in Hong Kong. Huge food lineup including a few made-to-order items, plenty of seating of all types. Everything looks quite new and clean with a modern, bright style. There was also a sleeping area with about 8 or so lounges in individual cubbies . It was only about 1/4 full from around 5:00-6:30 pm in advance of VA82 last night. The only one niggling item was that a fairly large number of the power points were out of service (though they were placarded as such). This is my first time flying VA from HKG, having always used QF before and enjoyed either QF or CX's excellent lounges, so was prepared to be disappointed- and I wasn't. It's sad to see that VA hasn't been successful here in HKG overall, as I'd definitely use them again.

In MEL at the moment and it’s a zoo. The door staff seem to be turning people away but not sure on what basis.
