I'm in the VA Lounge thread

I am currently in the lounge in Perth with the family. Geez it needs a revamp. Does anyone know if there are plans to renovate Perth? Food selection is pretty ordinary too - only hot food is chicken and corn soup.

They are opening a whole new terminal in Perth next year. I can't see virgin doing much with the lounge prior to that.

I'm in PER now, it is very busy with FIFO. Shame, it's a nice lounge when it isn't busy.

It doesn't help when three of the couches are taken up by people lying down, sleeping on them.

I was in the Sydney lounge this morning and this evening and pleasantly surprised to see some menu improvement. The scrambled eggs were a great change to the toasted sandwich. Not as good as you can get at a good cafe but at least they weren't powered eggs.

Tonight they had chicken curry rather than the famous hot dogs. Another long overdue improvement.

How long have these changes been in?

Cheers

In the Sydney lounge now for another hour if anyone is around wants guesting. 16y/o son is most disappointed that the hotdogs aren't on, he told me he was going to try to smash six down...lol....now I'm watching him eat bowl after bowl of curry

That is fine. It will be Virgin lounge again in a few days.

I dont get the obsession with Asian food even though I love to visit SE Asia a few times a year. Went to Thai restaurant for work end of year lunch today. Had some lamb curry and other Thai foods. I have not been feeling well all day since.

I go with the flow, and aside from a few verboten items will generally eat anything.

I suspect there are far more "Asian" style meals consumed on any given day throughout the world than "Western".

In Sydney lounge now and Melbourne lounge earlier this morning. (Saturday for those reading later). No sign of scrambled eggs.

PER lounge atm until 1500 for the PHE flight.

Make your own toasties is all there is here today, not even a soup!

That does not mean the rest of the world has to succumb to "Asian" tradition when it comes to food. Does it?

Apologies for going off topic.

In PER now. Not the normal bartender but have too busy enjoying a toasted sandwich to observe if anyone is carrying two drinks instead of one
