Are referring to China Airlines rather than CA? If not can you elaborate on what safety concerns you or your company has? Thanks!
The company has an Aviation services department that allocates contracts world wide from a small cessna here and there to many multi million dollar contracts world wide. Aviation services audit any company who they are likely to be doing business with as ongoing. They have a list of prefered airlines, a list of acceptable airlines, a list of airlines that are acceptable if and when necessary and quite a long list of airlines who the company will not accept as carriers. CA and CI are both on the no fly list.
How they do the individual scoring within the audits is not available for public knowledge.

Back OT. It would be good if the OP could elaborate as requested by several people here and so the concerns can be addressed appropriately.

Anymore "experienced" travelers got their scissors handy?

Just you keep your scissors well and truly clear of my WP card, mosanator!

I find it VERY interesting that someone joins AFF just to have a rant - makes his real intentions mightily unreliable!

Doesn't this happen all the time? Often such posters are hit and run type posters, but every now and then you see people come back once they have calmed down and make more meaningful contributions. I suspect the poster that started this thread may be in the former category, hope they can prove me (and most of us) wrong.

One post wonder.

This whole thread should be deleted!

Lets not jump to conclusions, they could be in the US and asleep after venting before dinner, lets at least wait 24 hours before our suspicions are confirmed?

I wonder if new users could be given a 24 delay button, that is their post is not published until they come back 12-24 hours later and confirm they meant what they said, kind of like a draft rant facility ;)?

Good for you OP, cutting up your card will certainly give QANTAS what they deserve for often running the old clapped out A380's on that route.

I also took a similar action at my local library. Back in Feb I reserved the August 2010 issue of Caravaning Australia. Can you believe they only called this week to say it was in? Almost six months later! So I stormed into one of the branches and cut up my library card right in front of them!

The over payed lady behind the counter tried to claim that my card actually belonged to the branches run by the neighbouring council - but my point had been made.

So maintain the rage.

Not to mention all those old books at the library with used pages. I like my books and Qantas The Australian Way inflight magazines in mint condition.... Maintain the rage indeed!

Me thinks you have all gone stark raving mad! In a nice way, of course! ;)

Re: im sorry Qantas but you really have gone downhill... why? I loved Qantas for so l

Why are all of these QFF WP's ganging up on this person?

The bottom line is that QANTAS is more expensive than other airlines and the frequent flyer program isn't as good as other airlines.

If you fly QANTAS you pay more and get less.

As long as people book QANTAS through loyalty instead of value for money QANTAS does not need to change.

If you are a QFF WP and paid for your flights out of your own pocket then you have thrown away an awful lot of money. Your money your choice.

Other airlines do offer good value and good service.

One problem with the OP is the lack of specific information about the complaint. Also some of the strange, and possibly wrong claims. Old aircraft on the routes operated by the newest qantas aircraft? Cutting up the "Q rewards card"?

As for value for money. I've personally spent roughly $6000 on domestic flying this year to make Gold. If I spent that on Virgin Blue, the only domestic competition, I would only be about 75% to Gold. Seems to me that I've pay the same and got more and I certainly can't agree that I've wasted my money.

If there is another airline that offers good value and service, I'd love to hear about them

Possibly because we fly a lot and the BS filter has be activated, if you fly enough you very quickly pick up who can talk the talk but not walk the walk, a 10 year member should know the name of the program he is a member of. Have not seen a post from you for a while complaining about DJ and their poor performance, running out of options?

What I would really like is for admin/moderator to do an ip lookup and tell us which country this user posted from...(presuming no proxy of course etc etc)

Re: im sorry Qantas but you really have gone downhill... why? I loved Qantas for so l

extracta is probably talking about International options. 95% of my flying is International and there is loads of options. Qantas is just one of them, and not one I use very much. Perhaps if I lived in Sydney. If I have a bad experience with Qantas I certainly won't bother complaining here anyway, as this board has a VERY 'Qantas can do no wrong' attitude from a large number of posters.

Air China often use flight crew that cannot speak English and have an interpreter on board that is not an aviation specialist (this has been a factor in some minor overseas incidents as well as in Australia ) ...

I have only two flights on Air China, PEK-WEH (Weihai, Shandong)-PEK. I flew CA F (like QF business) both legs. Apart from being extremely cheap by Aussie standards, the seats and service were excellent and the flight attendant in first class spoke very good english. Other family members back in economy on the same flights also had a good experience.

Given that I now have extended family in China (via my brother's wife), it would be great to have CA part of oneworld to get some points from those flights. With the cheap price of F tickets, it would be the new choice for status runs.

That may be the case. But I can't tell because such detail isn't stated. What is stated by extracta is that anyone flying qantas is wasting their money. That just does stack up for domestic flying.

As for "a qantas can do no wrong" attitude. I tend to think it is more about pointing out reality when people make baseless claims about qantas personally more 2 worst flying experiences have been with qantas. But then I've had many more good experiences with qantas

Re: im sorry Qantas but you really have gone downhill... why? I loved Qantas for so l

Qantas is my preferred domestic carrier, but internationally I go elsewhere most of the time.
