Four of us will be there at about 1:00pm. BB won’t be there until 4pm ish.

Maybe a group photo at the bar when we meet after the emergency drill.
Which bar? And I wonder what time the drill will be with 9pm departure. Might even be dinner time ish. We won’t know that until we get to the cabins.

I suggest the Outrigger Bar, Horizon Terrace, Deck 14 Aft at the back of Horizon Court.

We could meet immediately after the Safety Drill and work out Dinner plans etc..... (Some of us might be there earlier)

As per my post #366 that I have included above.

My guess is the safety drill will be at 8.30pm. Glad I'm not a parent of small children ;)

I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities to get the photographers to take a group photo once we are onboard. I have never known a ship's photographer turn down a request to take a photo, especially if they think they might sell 10 or so copies at $20 each (special cardboard Princess presentation folder included) :p

I can get to the pier whenever really. Princess aka Carnival texted me and sternly told me not to arrive before 4pm but they always do that and I have never been turned away from a pier on turning up early. Usually though it's because I've had to check out of a hotel room, so the luxury of departing from my own city in a cruise ship is new to me :)

We ignored Princess stern warnings in December and arrived at a time that suited us. Seems we were not alone. We walked straight through to the check in desks but then were caught up in Immigration.
Do we still have to take life jackets to safety drill? We did a year ago and Grumpy Cat was rather naughty. It’s getting those back to the room then to a nice place for sail away with a cast of thousands and then getting an appropriate drink in hand - well, it’s all rather exhausting :o :)

Bit warm in Adelaide over the next few days, hopefully cooler when we arrive.
Mmm. Don’t count on it. Unless there is a cool change Thursday we have a brief reprieve from 41 for next two days down to 30 then back to 35 Wednesday.
That isn’t the BOM forecast btw.
Besides. Some of the ‘we’ are already here.;)

Mine weren’t that different and yours only goes to Tuesday.

Another question, what are we all going to do on Kangaroo Island, been to Port Lincoln enough that I can find something to do, Kangaroo Island is new.
They are quite different. And more reliable. ;). It’s going to be 41 here tomorrow. And Friday. It’s 9.30pm and temp has just increased as the northerly winds are picking up. BOM only does 7 days out and other websites use average temps only.
KI - not planning on doing much as we’ve done several land trips there.

I am going to wait and see what kind of offers the spa has for port days. Sometimes the spa puts on quite good offers (in contrast to the price gouging on sea days).

Yes I know its expensive but have put on waitlist for a trip on Kangaroo Island, just checking the map and speaking with Princess that the cruise comes into Penneshaw.

Yes, Penneshaw is the tender Port and also for the ferry from Adelaide. Not much there at Port. Kingscote is better. If you’ve never been to KI then the trips are great if expensive. But it’s an expensive place.
Currently 40 here in Adelaide.

Ok. Word in from BOM. It’s going to be very hot on Australia Day weekend. Upper ‘30’s and into 40’s.

And its hot in Kingscote currently 40.6C

I won't need to pack warm clothes with that weather.

Found a tour and booked one, figured didn't want to go all that way and not visit different parts Kangaroo Island.

A good day to be out at sea.
Indeed. If as predicted the waters will be glassy and clear as there is no real blustery cool change predicted for next few days. KI will be warming but it also has the coolest temps in SA from time to time. Plurry Hot now though.
