1pm embarkation might be a port requirement. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if some port official will be calling the shots about what time people will be allowed to board - all in the name of 'security' of course

I don't get how they can overbook cruises - do they oversell the 'stateroom category guarantee' bookings or something? Surely they don't allow 2 different bookings to be confirmed for a specific cabin number? Presumably the majority of people book for a specific cabin, so surely Princess know how many cabins they have left to sell. Anyone have any insight on this?

And Pushka yes of course I am looking forward to seeing everyone, and meeting the ones I haven't met before

Sorry to alarm fellow cruisers.

We have been on the Astor, Fremantle to Fremantle via Esperance and Albany. It was a family affair for 9 of us, with three generations ranging down to a 3yo. We disembarked this morning and are already busy repacking for our next escapade, a flight to Melbourne on Monday morning.

On our day in Adelaide, we are planning to catch the train to the city, then the tram to Glenelg. The last time we did this, we found an Indian restaurant near the beach which served divine mango ice-cream. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone after the drill in the back of the Horizon Court. (We wont be at the drill, naturally.)

I see the Astor is doing some cruises out of Adelaide so we will be happy to answer any questions if anyone is interested. I will put a quick summary on the Cruise Guru thread when I have caught my breath.

I would suggest there is no likeness. I am 183cm tall and my hair is currently purple!
