I thought I should start thinking about flights.

For those interstate guests, is anyone arriving early or just planning to fly in on the 25th and head for the ship ?

On the 8:30 flight ex Brisbane on the 25th January on Qantas,

Did all the singles pay the supplement? Or is there a secret word to avoid paying it?

Or, must I find a friend?

We are taking the Melbourne to Melbourne 6-day cruise option. So we will fly into Melbourne from Perth on January 22nd, embarking on the Golden Princess on January 23rd. I'm not sure if anyone else is taking this longer option.

I plan to go to Glenelg on the day the boat is in Adelaide. Last time I was in Adelaide, I found an Indian restaurant at Glenelg which had the best mango ice-cream ever. And I don't even like ice-cream. Glenelg is very accessible from Adelaide, and I really hope the restaurant is still there.

I'm starting to get excited as I have never met anyone from the AFF forum. My husband is still undecided.

Tell him not to worry, my husband was the same at first, but you have a wonderful group with you on this adventure. By the end of the cruise, he will want his own log-in to AFF forum.
Just disappointed that I had already booked cruise & flights to Auckland for the same dates.

I found a friend.

I will be flying in a day or to prior. Just trying to get the most convoluted routing from MEL. So far I have MEL-SIN-CDG-OSL-DUS/FRA-???

Bad news gang, my attendance is now in jeopardy. I've accepted an offer to go back to study in the Aviation sector and undertake my CPL. Sadly, this involves a move interstate and a start date of mid-January which will greatly impact my ability to take periods of time off when combined with work.

I'd paid my cruise fare in full but my TA is optimistic of getting most of the fare back. So I'm not definitely out at this point but it way swing that way with days notice.

Bummer becasue I was really looking forward to this one too. :(

Got an email from Qantas saying that my flight has changed; by 15 minutes; what I thought was a departure at 8:30 is actually at 12:30, likely to change it to the earlier flight at 8:55 which gives a bit more time in case things go wrong.

Would the breakfast offering be better on the 737 over the 717, although Qantas scheduling to Adelaide is a bit weird can't see why they would run 2 flights within 30 minutes of each other.

Is there one-day international cricket being played at ADL that weekend? Might be extra flights for that if so.

Hey jsd,

Congratulations on the CPL study. Where are you doing this?

If you need to bounce any ideas I can try and help as I was an Air Force and Civilian flying instructor with ATPL and command multi engine instrument rating. I haven't quite forgotten everything yet and have a few contacts who I can ask if needed.
