For normal people the Crown Grill on Golden Princess ($29ea) is worth a visit as they do awesome Steak & Sea Food.
For JT they do awesome chocolate deserts.

I have been bad again and have been re-re-…. banned from cruising for another year. The good news is that the year will be up on 24/01/2018. Subject to being re-re…….unbanned, I will be booking for myself +1. But I’ll have to wait for much closer to the date and keep my fingers crossed that there are some balcony vacancies.

I don’t know how to edit the Wiki.

Oh no, that's not good news sinophile. I thought things had settled down on the health front :(
Best wishes that the year goes uneventfully for you.

Oh dear. You were looking at QM2 soon I think? Bummer. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Best wishes.

In most ways, I am very lucky. I was successfully treated on the day and have a preventative procedure booked in, to take place in only 10 days. Back to the gym tomorrow for the interim. My specialist is a darling and Hollywood Private Hospital is outstanding. (I have needed to try a few others, so can make a valid comparison.)

We were still on the waiting list for QM2, so no worries about insurance claims. My husband wanted to wait until we returned from Freo to Freo on the Sun Princess in December before we booked the QM2. I was slightly tempted to book anyway before we left, but unfortunately, as I find it very hard to tell lies, it wasn’t going to work. And during that 2-week period on the Sun Princess, the QM2 sold out.

Funnily enough, it was the QM2 last time when I started this nonsense. Maybe the Fates are trying to tell me something. I might have to stick to the QE from now on.

My daughter-in-law’s parents, also from Perth, have been on a South Pacific cruise and her father developed the same condition as me in Fiji. The ship’s hospital could have treated him, but his specialist advised against it as he has some heart defects. They came all the way back to Sydney on the cruise ship. They are now stuck in Sydney and there hasn’t been any good news yet. Initial treatment has not had lasting success.

One can always find someone so much worse off than you and it’s no use feeling sorry for oneself.

We are very interested, love cruising. Haven't cruised on The Golden before so will look forward to that. Will have our TA look into it and confirm. :)

Myself & +1 are definite outs for this. Shame, as we were thinking of heading over to Australia for partaking in the Aussie Day festivities; so might be over but a cruise wouldn't be on the cards. Perth by the foreshore with BBQ, booze and fireworks.. can't go wrong!

We're going to be having a BBQ etc down by the beach which we do most years.

Mrs wants to see what I keep banging on about (the typical Perth experience, anyway). I think she may have spent an A-day in SYD when she lived over here for a year before meeting me. It might not be next year that we make it over given we have a really heavy year of travel so far for 2017, but I'd say definitely 2019/2020 if nothing else especially as it falls on a weekend.

Thoughts are with you and the DIL's father.

Ah things can go wrong with Perth Skyworks; when one of the demonstration planes crashes into the river and its cancelled.

We were on Golden Princess this year for Australia Day and it was an AWESOME party. Incl a Pie eating contest for the guys and a Pavlova eating contest (no hands) for the women. 01485906642.jpg 01485906704.jpg 01485906863.jpg 01485906895.jpg 01485906920.jpg
