I received one by email today.
Interestingly I received it as an Aquire member not as a WP.
 
Got mine a week ago, but can't attend been interesting reading comments on Melbourne functions. Let us know the outcome.

I received an invitation, not really sure why, I'm a lowly Bronze but do have a few points, who are they targeting?
 
Was the gatherings for AFF members or just anyone who ticks Qantas contact. Me being only Gold probably isn't that important to them. How long do these things last.
