No, I was thinking of the one with Flash support, removable battery, USB slot, memory card reader, coffee grinder and syncs with something other than iTunes

That would be the one where the battery dies after 10 mins and lives in that mythical world where windows works....

Although my iPad is somewhat mythical at the moment...

Has anyone else noticed that the iPad does not like facebook? Crashes frequently. Maybe I have to give up facebook

Are you using the facebook app or facebook on safari? I use the facebook app on the iPhone in preference to Safari and have had no issues.

Facebook on Safari on the iPad facebook app on iPhone. I don't think facebook recognizes the iPad as a mobile device but I will go to the App store and try to download it. Mind you it could also be my hideously unreliable bigpond as my phone frequently switches from Wi-Fi to 3G depending on whereabouts in the ranch I am. Thanks Simon

Have had a few issues using FB in Safari on my iPad. I haven't bothered with the iPhone app. My iPad is wifi only. I can't recall anything really bad happening, crash-wise, but FB has been variable - things like adding a comment somewhere, getting the comment box open, but the "Comment" or "Share" button not being there. Pretty random.
But I also get random weird stuff with FB not going back to Home properly in FireFox on the laptop ...

Might be quicker to visit the Apple store and reserve one there for pick-up (assuming you work in Syd CBD). Esp since online it indicates 7-10 business days to ship.

Not sure if you visit Whirlpool (whingepool) or not, but there is some interesting discussion on the iPad forum: iPad - Whirlpool Forums . Should be a good indicator of where you might be able to find one, when deliveries occur etc. Of course with lots of 10 year olds posting there, the advice isn't always 100% accurate!

Fwiw, Apple Stores got more stock in over the weekend - saw heaps at both Chadstone and Bondi. So I'd hope sooner than the 29th for you.
