iPhone 15 issues with Qantas F F app May 14 2024

Ok yes I did that last week when the apple guy in store suggested it . I then even just deleted my app and re purchase from store and still same problem . It’s not just my phone . I’m reading on here other people have same issue . I think Qantas have a glitch in app since the cyber security matter . I’m appreciative of your suggestions Thankyou .
It could be your home wifi? Does it work just using mobile data? ie turnoff wifi OFF on your phone and then try searching.
 
ok so I enter the error to goodgle and found this infromation.

If you are trying to use your points it will direct to you the error, if you select cash you will get through as normal.

Isnt have just annoying ! =/

So we get all these points and they make is difficult for us to use them towards flights.

 
For the last week my wife and I (with separate QFF accounts) have had the same issue. I can enter the app and look at hotels, car rental etc., HOWEVER on trying to view available flights after entering detail and pressing "search" the APP goes to the FLIGHTS window and just keeps on trying to load and nothing else happens.

I tried this on my DESKTOP (Windows) and backup Samsung Tablet and they are FINE. no issues.

I rang Qantas and was told its a booking issue and diverted to Bookings. I explained again and said I realise this is NOT a booking issue but an app issue so they after a long winded explanation of I do not know what diverted me back to what they said was the Frequent Flyer division. And ..... same thing happened, diverted to Bookings, and then diverted back again... this happened for 7 rounds and after about 45 minutes.... I was answered by a well spoken English voice man who asked who I had spoken to before I only remembered 1 name as I had spoken with her twice. He said hold on and then I was disconnected.

I wrote to QANTAS and the reply showed the reader had NOT read the original complaint as he again said to dial a certain number(the original number I had called) and make my booking that way.. so obviously no help.

Has anyone had this issue? It does seem to be IOS/iPhone based. But HOW does one speak/reach the department who can deal with APP issues?
 
I have had exacty the same issue for over a week and tried all the usual fixes (reload app, update IOS, reboot phone etc). 15 Pro just freezes when searching for flights in the Qantas app. All other search functions work. Got usual generic response after lodging an online technical problem. Useless response from Qantas.
 
I've just tried on my iPhone 15 PM and can successfully go through to qantas.com after selecting flights from the app. Enter from/to and dates and through successfully. Is your default browser Safari or Chrome in your phone? Mine is Safari.
Mine is safari however issue is with both and the app.
 
I've had exactly the same issue for almost a month - both using the app and on the qantas.com website using my iPhone 15. No problem on a MacBook laptop. Very frustrating - or perhaps a sign to start flying on non-Qantas airlines ... !

Same issue with mobile direct and wifi. However no issue using Samsung galaxy tab via wifi or mobile direct. Seems iPhone based issue.
I’m having exactly the same issue. Works on Samsung but not iPad either app or website. So must be latest upgrade. Anyone found a solution?

If it’s not working on the website ie direct on Safari, that’s probably not app related. Try deleting cookies and history and reboot your iPad. I have had similar issues in the past (with searches and login but clearing cookies etc often fixes those). There’s another thread here about past issues using Safari.

At the moment, the app is still working ok for me on iPhone and iPad. Perhaps there‘s some other glitch that’s causing it the search to misbehave for some and not others?

It’s quite bizarre how some can have the same/similar issue but works fine for others (probably most I’d say, otherwise QF would be doing something urgently if it was preventing revenue generation?).

There are just so many other variables to try and trouble shoot. The obvious ones don’t appear to help?

reboot
Logout and log back into App
delete and reinstall App
delete cookies

Other factors:
VPN settings (if used)?
mobile data vs wifi?
some unexpected glitch in some iOS and QF app instances? 🤷‍♂️

As I type this, I noticed that the app ver is now up to 4.9.1 - does that help?
 
Still no fix for me. Issue still the same.
As of Friday night the app issue of not allowing access to flight lists has been rectified on my iPhone and for my wife’s iPhone as well. No response from Qantas or Apple but issue now gone. Too late for us Qantas lost our next trip as we had to book. I hope the issue is not repeated .

issue has corrected itself on both our iphone 15s no response from Qantas or Apple. Nothing changed in my settings.
