Hi All,

I need some advice from the brains trust on this forum.

I, like many on here, have hundreds of thousands of points sitting with velocity. With the current COVID-19 situation and virgins financial position I’m concerned that if the airline was declare bankruptcy points may disappear..

What’s the likelihood of this happening and should I withdraw my points by purchasing gift cards to get some cash value at what I have..?

am I making a mountain out of a mole hill.. or is there a real threat to my velocity points been wiped out..?

UPDATE - My Apple Watch arrived today. Yesterday I was told the order hadn’t been actioned when clearly it must have been

UPDATE. Apple Watch arrived today. Despite being told yesterday that the order has not been processed ( by Collinson and Velocity) it arrived - no tracking number - no email. Clearly the staff dealing with the redemptions have absolutely no idea what is happening at all. All a bit adjuvant but I’m pleased it has arrived. Package was posted 30th April so delivery was very fast indeed.
Im jealous of both of you...Im still waiting for my watch that I ordered on 15th 😭

The balance of 8 cases arrived today from Laithwaites. Still waiting on 100+ GC's and other paraphernalia that I would otherwise not have needed.

You can try contacting Velocity and ask your options, but I don’t like your chances.

I assume it’s more expensive and you have sufficient points if they agree to do something.
I called them. They said to contact Harvey Norman as order has completed from velocity side. Sent HN an email. Can only hope for the best now.

Well there is hope that maybe Harvey Norman might do something for cash difference. So not a complete loss yet.

Although unlikely, they might let you do an exchange for cash difference at one of their stores.

Been lurking this thread for a while. First time poster.

I ordered AirPods on 14 April 2020 and it arrived by private courier today. I’m in Sydney, so all in, took 3 weeks ish to come in.

good luck everyone in getting your stuff! I didn’t receive any emails other than the initial confirmation. I also emailed Harvey Norman and didn’t get a reply.

Yeah I am hoping to pay a bit more money and get the pro Max instead. I don't think they will give me a refund. Best case would be some store coupon. The whole vigil administration thing is so annoying.

I have wine ordered from 7th and 10 April. 7 boxes Received Aust post tracking numbers and item numbers on 24 April. But as of today the 2 May no info from the tracking Nos as to where the boxes are!!!!!
I'm in Perth WA and very thirsty!

Please let us know how you go. I have a similar issue, ordered the wrong iPad in the desperate rush to get the order cleared in those chaotic last couple of days. Can live with the mistake if necessary but would love to try to rectify if possible.

We ordered 5 cases of wine in one lot on 17 April followed by another case and 2 bottles of gin on 18 April.

Today we received all of the 18 April order and 2.5 cases from the 17 April order. It appears the remaining 2.5 cases are somewhere between Laithwaites and our house.

Ordered 3 gift cards and an appliance over the same period. No sign of those items yet but based on others experiences I’m not expecting them until around the end of May.

Having excitedly received my two items of a dozen last Tuesday (28/4)...no more items ordered from 13/4 arrived.! Personally I did not even expect what I got and similar to other posters (no paperwork with the delivery) although I did receive email notifications from shipit but no clue as to what was coming! I’m quite sanguine about this as COVID instilled perspective...more distressing is the fact not flying to Europe next week (waiting for refunds on cancelled business flights)🤔

Not quite a Velocity reward store item however still demonstrates the slowness of the postal system at the moment.... I received a letter on Friday that was posted on 2nd April. I had all but given up on receiving this letter until it arrived.

I think it is because of the lockdown - too many reduced staff... things will take longer

For all you Westies....
I ordered wine on 7 and 10 April. Received Aust post tracking numbers and shipping notification 'recieved' on 24 April for both.
Then for 7th April order only on 25 April Aust post 'approved' shipping info.
It appears the 7th April booze is in WA Welshpool on Saturday, yesterday, and I will be able to collect from PO tomorrow. Hurrah.
No sign of anything re the 10th which was the big order. Wondering where the other one is as they were both notified at the same time. My partners order on the 10th the same.

Ordered a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner on 11APR and just got an email notification from Australia Post (and a tracking number) that it will arrive tomorrow, 4 May:

"Your delivery from DRUIN P/L (FULFILLMENT CENTRE) is on its way"

Still waiting on several gift cards, with the earliest ordered on 09APR - assume I'll see them later this month.
