Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

Hi All,

I need some advice from the brains trust on this forum.

I, like many on here, have hundreds of thousands of points sitting with velocity. With the current COVID-19 situation and virgins financial position I’m concerned that if the airline was declare bankruptcy points may disappear..

What’s the likelihood of this happening and should I withdraw my points by purchasing gift cards to get some cash value at what I have..?

am I making a mountain out of a mole hill.. or is there a real threat to my velocity points been wiped out..?

Please let us know how you go. I have a similar issue, ordered the wrong iPad in the desperate rush to get the order cleared in those chaotic last couple of days. Can live with the mistake if necessary but would love to try to rectify if possible.

They replied, you can only return the goods back to Harvey Norman commercial. They will then raise with velocity to get points refunded. No extrange or upgrade. whole process can take up to 30days.

Received B&D Workmate today, from Druin P/L Fulfilment centre. No prior warning. Ordered 5th April.

Thanks, appreciate the response. Given the timing I imagine I‘ll find out in the next couple of weeks whether or not my order will be processed. Will just have to live with the outcome one way or the other, just wish I’d been able to properly browse the store instead of desperately trying to get any old order through.

congrats.
I'm in Perth. Collected by Aust Post my 07 April wine -2 boxes- yesterday. 10 April and 5 boxes still somewhere in the system between Laithwaites and WA. Have PO tracking number .

We ordered 5 cases of wine in one lot on 17 April followed by another case and 2 bottles of gin on 18 April.

Today we received all of the 18 April order and 2.5 cases from the 17 April order. It appears the remaining 2.5 cases are somewhere between Laithwaites and our house.

Ordered 3 gift cards and an appliance over the same period. No sign of those items yet but based on others experiences I’m not expecting them until around the end of May.

The balance of the wine order arrived today. We’ve got a little over 5k points left across our 2 accounts. Will be avoiding earning any more points until the long term future of the airline and program is clear.

I ordered a Bose soundbar on 16th, still has not arrived. I emailed them a few days ago and they said the order was fulfilled and at the warehouse. No tracking was available at the time.

I also ordered an iPhone at the same time and that arrived on Friday.

Unfortunately, Toll has taken their tracking info offline. But, hey, it's on the way!

post office called and just said they have the rest as it didnt fit in the box

very surprised its not registered post or anything more secure

That’s reassuring. I started ordering one per day around that time and have only received 4 of the 12 I’ve ordered so far. Starting to worry especially as some of the things I planned to buy with them are going on sale.

Jackpot! I found they used registered post for >$200 per order. Hopefully I get a sack full of envelopes this week also.
