Hi All,

I need some advice from the brains trust on this forum.

I, like many on here, have hundreds of thousands of points sitting with velocity. With the current COVID-19 situation and virgins financial position I’m concerned that if the airline was declare bankruptcy points may disappear..

What’s the likelihood of this happening and should I withdraw my points by purchasing gift cards to get some cash value at what I have..?

am I making a mountain out of a mole hill.. or is there a real threat to my velocity points been wiped out..?

Still waiting on GC’s from 14,15,16th. Received everything else I’ve ordered. Have sent another email to hopefully get a response.
just a reminder for those who received confirmation emails just after redeeming, that If you click on the email address underneath the order in the email you received ,it will create an email with the order number on it,, that is if you haven’t already recorded that order number.
Cheers ....waiting ....Patience grasshopper patience

Well i got our velocity wine order which was mid April circa 15/16th April arrive yesterday. Interesting that the tracker is useless until the day it onboarded in our local city (mothers day), and that morning it was at my parents. Didn't even expect a delivery on a Sunday.

have'nt got a single gift card yet which we started ordering a day or so before velocity wine store and continued one a day until the store shut. I'm at least happy to get our 6 pack of wine and gins, better than nothing at least.

Has anyone received any items from Harvey norman that they ordered mid April say circa 15th April? The mrs used her points to redeem for the nespresso machine and a mixer, and still nothing. Getting worried as we sent the delivery address to our house (rather than wines to parents) and at this rate we'll be going back to the office in coming weeks , so it may get left outside.

Hope it comes soon! Otherwise i presume it's way too hard to change delivery address.

I had an iphone and Bose soundbar.

So far i've recieved the iPhone but not the soundbar yet. Hopefully they will come through soon.

Received this today from the Harvey Norman contact given on my iPad confirmation email. Ordered from the Velocity store an hour before it went dark.

I can confirm your order has been received and sent to Apple for processing. They have advised they are experiencing large amounts of orders with the increase of online ordering due to COVID-19 and have said there will be extended delays. Unfortunately there is no tracking to provide at this stage

Damn I thought I was in the clear after transferring my total of just over 400k across to krisflyer. But just remembered I still have 100k incoming velocity points from switching mortgage providers through uno in early April. Doh!

When I spoke to Collinson they did indicate they were ‘preparing’ to open for Velocity orders again... but that could have just been rubbish. I wish I had an archive of the Velocity store as some more family members want to use all their points as soon as it opens!

I wonder how much more expensive items will be.

Copy of the letter, envelope and card just received from Collison. For your reference what they look like.

Finally got all my wine from 7 and 10 April in WA. Did not all appear at the same time.
Last lot I received 2 boxes Friday and then this .am a text message 3 were at the PO today and the tracking history has finally updated today!! My partner is still waiting for 1 box on his order. Seems to be Aust Post problem.

As i wrote we did ours around 16th april and got ours on mothers day... so clearly unless wine store is filling certain orders faster, the post office must be sorting through and leaving some mail at the edges of room out form processing? I've had letters that were stamped recently arrive shortly, yet others earlier in the month stamped 4th april arriving 14th april. I think like a sorting room, if your package isn't grabbed and more piles up you just get pushed back more and more? Just my suspicion, but i've never seen the inside of a mailing room...

still waiting to hear if anyon ehas received goods from harvey norman who ordered around the 15th april give or take? We're heading back to work next week so worried any delivery will be left outside the front door now :(

What order date for your iphone/soundbar? And these were from harvey norman to be fulfilled correct?

16th April. Not sure if the iPhone came through HN. Will have to check the box

Does the email tell you which supplier is fulfilling it? As others were referring to popink before so there must be some way of seeing the fulfillment supplier?

Speak of the devil -the breville kitchen wizz 8 plus came today. That means they must be fulfilling all electronics still from mid april - so pretty sure our gift cards will come too in time. the box is huge! I had the front door open so courier van was spotted as soon as i came out of the bedroom. I do wonder though if we weren't home what would happen? Would they even knock the door? All of our packages in recent weeks (velocity and non-velocity) have "signature on delivery" but none of them are even requiring signatures. If the door wasn't open I don't know if they would ring the bell.

The issue is would they return the package to the post office where we can securely pick it up? I only see them scanning it after leaving it outside.Has anyone electronics been left outside when no one was at the door, or do they actually return it to the post office to be secure? The latter is far more common sense... as leaving electronics or anything of value outside a front door ina big box is a recipe for theft.

Our office is reopening next week, so sadly I won't be home anymore (will miss WFH). Their is still a nespresso machine to arrive - hence why we are trying to work out what the supplier is. If it's the same as the breville then hoping it will arrive shortly this week before i go back..otherwise i dread to imagine it being left outside.

Just checked - box came from Duin Pty Ltd (fulfilment centre) in Taren Point NSW. Does anyone know if this is Harvey Norman, or do they fulfill for multiple e commerce sites so we won't know who the supplier is that fills for velocity?

Just spoke to the mrs - didn't get any emails when she placed her orders. Is this normal? I got emails as soon as i put gift card orders through, even the wine store. Do the non gift cards not come with an automated email or confirmation details even ? Or did she just not get them?

Received two giftcards today. Hopefully another 21 to come in the next couple of days:
  • Ordered 13th & 14th April (21 ordered on the 15th).
  • Sent 6th May
  • Received 12th May

We ordered three items from Harvey Norman on Apr 14, they showed up last week and the last one yesterday, three (!) separate deliveries, all from Druin Pty Ltd (fulfilment centre) in Taren Point NSW. No signature, just left at the front door. Only received a confirmation email when I placed the order, nothing since then.

Still waiting for a gift card in the same order. Good luck getting your goods soon!

Hi!
Just checked the box. It says it's from APL Pty Ltd from Eastern Creek.
iPhone delivery delivered to front of apartment and they run the number. We went out to get it .

It looks like it will come any day now..best of luck.

On a separate note, how will warranty work on these electronics? With no receipt how will we fix issues?

I should've just jumped in and ordered a bunch on the same day like you did despite the restrictions!

I ordered an iPad on the 16th of April and received it today. No tracking or email updates of any kind. Arrived via Toll Express with a ship date of 08/05/20 from APL Pty Ltd Eastern Creek.
