SYD J Lounge... Italian fellow who waits the Dinner service area often Friday night... name starts with D, typical Italian name, but slips my mind at the moment... he appears to enjoy his role in the lounge and I've often heard him interacting with guests chatting in Italian... I'd like to practice il mio italiano poco, ma sono troppo imbarazzato... (thanks google translate ).

T2 QP.....Eastern European (?) lady behind the bar/food counter, very efficient, runs the place gulag style. In 4 years of Friday afternoon drinking - I think she smiled half & dozen times.

However, she was always ready with my drink & would knock the top off like she was throttling a chook in the backyard.

you must be there when they aren't hiding in teh prep area with 3 or 4 of us waiting for a beer!

Delilah in Sydney J.... for being so gracious when she told me there were no upgrades one night and I walked over to the Qantas Club and got one within seconds.

Domenico. He's damn good. I always have a chat with him. He used to work 2 jobs, mornings at one of the hotels in Sydney. Then he'd do the J lounge in the afternoon/night. I've only ever seen him waiting for the island dining. He makes his own wine, has a brother and family back in Italy and he's just really friendly. He loves to find out were everyone is from, he also points out the celebrities for me. ;)
