JAL 777-300ER back on Sydney route

I'm looking at one F seat on JL51, mid Feb.
Nothing on QFF.
In JMB, they are all "Waitlist"

There was much availability this morning on Qantas as I'm checking for next year. I checked after reading this thread and many days have evaporated on all classes.

Bizarre, looks like they have loaded SYD-HND only, nothing for HND-SYD

Well, I only looked one direction…and it wasn’t heading home! I was otherwise impressed.

Thanks for the note! Just booked F return for myself (and a friend who booked separately) leaving just before Christmas and returning after New Year's. Most dates seem to have 2 seats.

I did notice one or two dates disappear whilst I was pondering.

Now to cancel my Cathay Cash W fare I had...

For anyone struggling to find a flight back to Australia, SQ offers cheap one-way cash J fares out of most Japanese cities to east coast Aus - usually around $1.6-1.8k. Just need to find D class availability. (possibly an issue around peak periods NYE and cherry blossoms)

If crediting to VA, HND-SIN-SYD earns 240 SC and 8995 points.

Thanks. That might come in handy.

The return (Tokyo to Sydney) flights definitely were there... I booked one of them. It seems like JAL pulled all of it for some reason.

That is insane. People getting those ski trips booked for next year.

Also for reference, this is outright ~$2700 today one way on QFF points if you buy it and you get ~$2300 worth of wine.
I wish I knew this OMG. This is why I love this community!

First menus have been published - caviar available ex SYD. Based on the filename that should stay the case through August.

No beverage menu in either direction yet.

If you have a preference for Western or Japanese course, you can indicate it in JAL Manage My Booking
HOPEFULLY THIS works for you
I amended the hyperlink and it popped up

Cutlass Fish &String Beans with Yuzu & Pepper Gelée
"Kamo" Eggplant with Julienne Fresh Ginger

Deep-fried Pike Eel with Truffle Sauce
Steamed Abalone& Taro Stem with Dashi

Dammit. I'd lined up all the points needed for First Award for two flying Haneda - Sydney and was online last night at 12.30 am to book as seats were released by JAL But on the very day (May 2 2025) it's reverted back to 787. 🤬. I did get two J though but was dreamin.
