Yes.A great display. On our short 3 days here in Japan flowering appeared to be out of whack. The azaleas here were basically near peak flowering. The next day on the coast they were just starting to flower but then 80Km inland where you would think they would flower later they were finished.
Also rhododendrons which we expected to have finished flowering.Certainly they had at the first 2 gardens but at the third where the azaleas had finished the Rhododendrons were approaching peak flowering.

After checkin we walked across to the station. On the third floor of the hotel building is a large games area.

Funny things you find in shops.Though I believe some in the UK use this face mask.

And I hope everyone today cackled with glee.

We found a restaurant for dinner. No idea of the name as absolutely no English.I had a beer and a medley of dishes-beef,noodles and a seafood donburi whilst mrsdrron had a salmon donburi bowl.

And on the way back to the hotel we passed a cat cafe.

The next morning a fast train and a funny building.

You had breakfast included which could be taken at Tully's Coffee or a local Japanese restaurant. The first day we went with Tullys.Mrsdrron had the toast course I the pancakes.

Interesting.

I found the chair quite relaxing. The room was quite clean so apart from the mattress was OK.Our next hotel though-but you have to wait for that.

So today was off to Hitachi Seaside park to see the nemophilia. When we got there we wondered if we were at the right place.A huge theme park like parking lot and 510 yen to park. Then 210 yen each as seniors to enter. It is a huge park but they have a seaside train-ie tractors pulling a couple og carriages. But you could only get a day pass-another 600 yen.
When you enter it doesn't look like a flower park.
163665.163666.
Then off you go on the train.Very slowly.Takes an hour to go right around. Most through woodland.Excited to see some new spring leaves.
163667.
You then come out at the seaside. They are still building the port.
163668.163669.

163670.
Then grasslands with the ferris wheel dominating.
163671.163672.

We then came to the reason we came here. The nemophilia.

163675.163676.

163677.163678.

Obviously past their peak but still spectacular. We opted to stay on the train to complete the circuit.A mistake. No real highlights but a few flowers amongst the trees. That next.
