The Jetstar roadshow rolled into Cairns late last week displayed at Cairns Central Shopping Centre. Looks excellent, had two seats Y & J. The Y seemed very narrow, the J as usual comfy but no lay flat, all seats were nice leather.

The crew were all young uns, asks few questions.

What international routes will they be flying? answer don't know.

When will international flights begin?, answer don't know.

One thing i didn't check was amount of seat incline, as previous flights I've had even in JQ J, unless one had bulkhead the seat, front seat went far to way back.

First flights in November will be MEL-CNS and then first international flights will be (IIRC) MEL-Bali in December/January. Unfortunately I've deleted the email JQ sent out with that info. It was at the bottom in one of the emails about sales they're having.

Was aware of domestic route flight not international, have 2 seats booked in May SYD/HNL on JQ hoping for a 787 plane change seeing more of these are coming on line very soon. Hard rumours about CNS to OSAKA and SYD/HNL, just nothing definite in media as yet.

We have flights booked MEL_DPS in March next year. We have recently received an email from Jetstar telling us that this route will be flown by the 787 Dreamliner.
Probably will be our first flight on that craft, even though we have at least 8 other flights booked on various other airlines.

Im looking forward to it.

First international flight is 18th Dec, MEL-DPS. I'll be there, front row :D

Yeap first flight is 13/11 MEL-OOL.

Just got another email from JQ for Friday Frenzy and the info was in this email as well.

Our 787 will start flying on two routes: Melbourne-Cairns and Melbourne-Gold Coast from 13 Nov to 16 Dec 2013 and then Melbourne – Bali (Denpasar) from 18 Dec 2013, flights from Melbourne to Bali are subject to government and regulatory approval. To book a 787 flight on these routes look for the Dreamliner icon in the booking process, you can also search from our Dreamliner website here.

Here I was asking another thread if anyone had photos of the interiors, especial row 1 as I'll be flying Melbourne-Cairns next Saturday in 1J. But now I see it hasn't been operating very long. I'll post some photos after my flight.

Here is a pic of 1J and available legroom

Hey thanks. When did you fly this? Not exactly how it looks in the seat selection diagram. Was it comfortable?

That was on the inaugural flight from MEL to OOL

The pic of the seat was taken from the entry to the front galley

The seat was comfortable, more down the line of QF Premium Economy rather than Business

Plenty of legroom and the IFE screen was great

Its the same seat as QF Domestic J and international PE, SICMA Silverwing 2
