Jetstar business class menu

Its been the exact same food for several years! Pretty sure the lamb/salmon/pasta was on the meu before Covid.

100% needs a refresh!
What items would you like to see them replace, and with what?

The current menu, which has been in place for some time, is simple, reliable, tastes good and let’s not forget - it allows the airline to operate as a low cost carrier. If you’re after fine dining in the sky, perhaps you can consider full-service airlines.

Is it really going to cost Dnata that much to change the meals? It's not like JQ is their only customer, they surely have. menu you can choose from.

They change the BOB menu twice a year, no reason this couldn't be a change too on a similar cycle.

Needs to change because its incredibly repetitive! Nothing to do with being 'full-service'. You pay a premium to fly 'Business Class' on Jetstar, the occasional new menu would be appreciated by regulars

Menu for JQ48 ICN-SYD
(Maybe IB Inbound LD Lunch/ Dinner and BF Breakfast, and dated as 2024 V2. Makes me wonder if JQ double caters out of Aus ports with those codes)

As per discussion above these are almost identical to the 2021/22 menus listed and still on JQs website.

Had the roasted chicken which was pretty tasty. A bit of skin on as well which I like.

Red being served was a
Penfolds Koonunga Hills Shiraz ($14 at DM) but got a top-up with dinner and a G&T to follow.

Cheese omelette & sausage for breakfast which was passable along with a coffee and OJ.

Crew are looking forward to the refurb, particularly on longer flights like SYD-ICN.

Assume the salad dish is the appetiser; looks a bit mean after reading the description on the menu. Definitely looks generous on the sauce (which might make up for the vegetables which look a tinge dry).

I dunno all so much about that. Currently there are 19 seats in the J cabin for the SYD/ICN route (2 seats are blocked off for staff). There is one dedicated crew member to the J cabin the entire flight, with more coming to help during meal service.
The refurb configuration will have 44 seats (and crew rest so no need to block off seats for staff). Keeping in mind JQ is a low cost carrier, I am skeptical that they will increase the number of dedicated crew to the J cabin. If it is just the one crew outside of meal times, thats a whole lot more passengers to look after than before.
Having said that, at least the current ICN to SYD scheduling is a redeye flight so there are hardly any calls for service.

Flew CNS-NRT on the 20th and same old lamb shank and chicken quesadilla. COME ON JETSTAR - can we rotate the menu a bit?

Maybe in late 2026/early 27 once they have rolled out the new enlarged business class to most of the fleet.
