Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

Saturday 16 March 2019 sees JQ406, the 0915 hours SYD - OOL not airborne until 1105, so arrival for A320 VH-VGO is likely at 1112 hours, 97 minutes behind schedule. Earlier this morning, this plane operated JQ7428 that may have been an empty flight to OOL, departing SYD at 0621 and arriving at 0759 before running JQ401, the 0605 hours schdule OOL - SYD, taking off at 0735 and arriving at 1012, 92 late.

The 'ferry' flight will have been due to last night's storms affecting southeast Queensland.

JQ721 (A321 VH-VWQ, the 1040 hours SYD down to HBA in the air at 1141) should arrive at 1318 hours, 43 late.

JQ501 is a shocker with this scheduled 0600 hours first of the mornings from SYD to MEL not airborne until 1136 with arrival of A320 VH-JQL suggested at 1249, 314 minutes late.

The 1040 hours SYD down to AVV, JQ613 (A320 VH-VGV) took off at 1131 with suggested arrival 1246, 31 late.

Northbound JQ510 (A321 VH-VWU) took off at 1140 with suggested arrival at 1250, 35 late on its trip from MEL up to SYD.

Continuing with 16 March 2019, JQ43 (1005 hours morning MEL up to DPS) took off at 1243 so arrival for B788 VH-VKI is likely at 1508, 133 late.

VH-VQQ on JQ786, the 1150 hours SYD - MCY took off at 1248 with A320 VH-VQQ. Arrival shoud be at 1308, 43 late.
 
St Patrick's Day, Sunday 17 March 2019, finds JQ718, the early morning 0825 hours HBA up to SYD (A320 VH-VQA) taking off at 1038 with consequent arrival suggested as 1218, 128 late.

A delay of this extent will be difficult to recover from all day unless a return trip gets the bullet, or there is a lengthy Sunday lunchtime layover, the latter unlikely given that Sunday afternoon demand is normally high.
 
Later on 17 March 2019, JQ515 (VH-JQL), the 1330 hours SYD - MEL was airborne at 1506 for a suggested arrival at 1621, 76 late.
 
Still on 17 March 2019, JQ519, the early evening SYD down to MEL did not take off until 1940 so arrival for A320 VH-VFK should be at around 2057 hours, 72 late.

JQ605, the Monday 18 March 0805 hours SYD down to AVV was airborne on the dot at 0900 hours, about 40 minutes behind schedule. A320 VH-VGU should arrive at about 1017 hours, 37 late. This will delay JQ630, the 1010 hours AVV - OOL to what Avalon Airport suggests is 1045, perhaps a bit optimistic.

The 0755 hours HBA up to MEL, JQ700 (A321 VH-VWT) took off at 0852 with arrival suggested as 0958, 43 late.

On its return, JQ631 (VH-VGU, OOL - AVV) took off at 1236 against an 1140 hours scheduled pushing back, so arrival should be 1534, 39 late.

JQ708 (A320 VH-XSJ, the 1305 hours HBA up to MEL in the sky at 1404) is arriving at 1513 hours, 48 minutes behind schedule.

The 1145 hours OOL down to MEL was airborne at 1238, so JQ437 (A321 VH-VWT) should be at its destination apron at 1537 hours, 32 late.

A320 VH-XJE on JQ504, the 0810 hours morning Saturday 23 March MEL - SYD that took of at 0853 should arrive at 1008 hours, 33 late.
 
With a storm affecting part of Melbourne, though not the intensity seen recently in Sydney, the Sunday 24 March 2019 JQ216 (A320 VH-VFH) from AKL to MEL, the 2040 hours in the air at 2115 was showing as arriving at 2328, 43 late but it undertook an unusual loop above Balwyn North (middle distance eastern suburb) so may be a little later.
 
JQ702, the Tuesday 26 March 2019 scheduled 1015 hours midmorning HBA up to MEL did not take off until 1145. A320 VH-VFI is arriving at 1247, 72 late.
 
The Sydney Airport tower evacuation of 20 key controllers and others from about 1140 hours on Friday 29 March with full operations restored by 1319 has caused significant delays.

JQ459. the 1145 hours BNK down to SYD took off at 1336 with A320 VH-VFJ. Arrival is suggested at 1449, 99 late.
 
Also on Friday 29 March, JQ515 (1330 hours SYD down to MEL, A320 VH-VGO) was in the sky at 1502 with expected arrival at 1754, 169 minutes behind the timetable.
 
Looks like last Wednesday's JQ7 to SIN was cancelled (not sure if that was reported here?) I'm still waiting to find out how they accommodate passengers from the cancelled flight!

No, not reported. Apologies, but unless I develop the skills of a magician, I cannot monitor everything.

Any information would be handy. Are passengers placed on QF35 (and/or QF37 if operating)? Difficult in school holidays when flights are full or close to it.
 
Later on 30 March, the MEL - NTL JQ476 (A320 VH-VGJ) should arrive at 1832 hours, 32 late.

JQ415 (A320 VH-VQL, the 1430 hours OOL - SYD airborne at 1541 mid afternoon) is arriving at 1811, 71 late.

JQ7, usually a late morning or midday departure from MEL to SIN when it runs - today (Sunday 31 March, it's a 1210 hours) has a lot of problems and has often been cancelled as AFFer MEL_Traveller has noticed.

It took off at 1458 with B788 VH-VKE so arrival should be at 1907, 137 minutes late. In theory, JQ8, the 2100 hours redeye ex SIN should not be adversely affected.
