Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

This is a rather frequent occurrence and they won't accommodate passengers on the corresponding QF flight, which leaves almost around the same time.

To what flight do passengers get rebooked on?

Very poor that if QFi has seats available, they aren't given to JQi pax.

They'll simply try to put you on the next available JQ flight, which is usually the next day! I will never book that JQ flight again. Too unreliable. Really, if you cancel, you have to put people on a similar flight or as close as possible and it's easily done when QF is part of the same friggin airline group!

Tuesday 24 September sees JQ116 (A321 VH-OYC, the 1640 hours PER-DPS) airborne at 1740, so gate arrival becomes an estimated 2057 hours, 37 minutes tardy.

In more on 1 October, an A321 must be defective as after arriving in SYD at 1128 hours, seven minutes early as JQ763 from ADL, A321 VH-VWW formed the 0945 hours SYD-MEL airborne at 1351. This arrived MEL at 1506 hours, 221 minutes late.

The plane then had a slow turnaround, becoming JQ512, the 1225 hours lunchtime MEL-SYD not in the sky until 1644. Arrival in SYD was 1752, 242 late. The next flight for VH-VWW is the 1755 hours SYD-MEL, JQ519 that even with the padding in the timetable has no hope of arriving MEL at 1930 hours.

Sunday 7 October sees JQ213 (1850 hours evening MEL up to AKL, A320 VH-VFI) airborne at 1959 hours so arrival should be about 0110 hours on Monday 7, 45 minutes behind schedule.

The red eye DRW-MEL 10/10 0055 departure (JQ677) diverted back to Darwin and (presumably) was subsequently cancelled. Currently ferrying to SYD as JQ7995

This also resulted in the knock on cancelation of JQ434 MEL-OOL service

No idea what the issue is sorry
