"alcohol was believed to be involved" ????

Really???

Maybe I am judging too soon, but I hope it takes as long as possible to sort out so they get some real quality time before getting repatriated :/

certainly hope none of the folks involved had been imbibing in the QP beforehand:!:

no...you haven't judged too soon..i say give em a good 'stint' in an Indonesian 'holding facility'. BUT sadly, i'm sure certain media 'types' will pay them for an interview after they were 'so harshly treated by jetstar'

Jetstar to coughet. What could possibly go wrong?

its not the airlines fault, and its not the routes fault...its the FWITS fault, SADLY FWITS FLY EVERYWHERE AND ON MANY AIRLINES. But its a 'local' story, so the media makes it a 'headline'...look out for a TodayTonight/ACurrenAffair exclusive in a couple of days

I don't see this posted anywhere else:

Jetstar plane diverts after wild fight on flight from Sydney

Especially when they arrive on JQ38 on Friday or Saturday. Maybe some media waiting for them at SYD arrivals

Yes they fly everywhere but where there is a LCC subsidiary they tend to not fly the mainline carrier especially since the mainlne carrier does not fly to these places regularly.

I love in the Watoday article how one of the thugs is standing next to a motivational poster "Live every moment; Laugh every day; Love *something*and words". I've always thought there is a direct correlation between folk who love those posters and the coughpiness of their actual lives / propensity not to live up to the platitudes. Which is why, other than AFF, this is my favorite website: https://www.reddit.com/r/Demotivational/ :D

The JQ787-800 has 3 bassinets at row 23

Apparently 7 babies travelled on JQ27 when it diverted due to drunken behaviour of the Jetstar5

That means remaining 4 would either have been lap-babies, or their parents purchased a seat for them - not.

7 babies, Jetstar5 involved in a flight, a divert...., arrival time delayed by 3 hours.
JQ does not store baby formula or nappies and parents have to carry these within their carry on luggage allowance - therefore limited in what they can carry.
Extend the flight by a few hours and the formula/nappies would have run out.

Me thinks there would be a few screamers on that flight. Maybe one reason the Jetstar5 went beserk!!!!! Definitely would be screaming at the other end.

Would the Jetstar5 be able to claim anything from their travel insurance (if any) for their missed holiday?

The Jetstar6! Most travelling parents I've come across carry ample spares to cater for delays. 3 hours isn't all that bad.

I'd hope that they've done their dosh and travel insurance doesn't give them a cent.

Some passengers 'praising' the crew. But how did the passengers get served this much alcohol? Or were they not drunk but just had a fight? Hard to tell with the way the media likes to sensationalise a story.

Well, by their Facebook photos, they were drinking before the flight and it wouldn't be the first time someone drinks their duty free

The same as many people before going clubbing would "preload" before going out so they don't have to buy expensive drinks at venue. Kings Cross one punch guy preloaded.

In that case JQ is potentially responsible as the pax shouldn't have been permitted to board. Or... alcohol was not as big an issue as made out? The pax 'just' had a fight.
