I think this has recently been updated on the Qantas site

  • 50,000 bonus points with $3,000 spend in 60 days
  • $149 annual fee
  • 1:1 spend up to 100,000 points pa (excluding bonus)
  • 0% balance transfer for 10months

EDIT: doesn't look like the click-through link it accurate, may not be available just yet.

Macquarie backed too. Will it be a problem applying if I already have the Woolworths card?

Have to wait until the JetStar page is updated with the promotion to see the full T&Cs I guess but nothing on the Qantas site would suggest any restrictions.

The Jetstar site mentions nothing about the 50k bonus. Is it worth applying now and risking them not honouring the points?

Well since the portal that you hit via the Qantas website says to see the Terms and Conditions on Jetstar MasterCard and there's nothing there about eligibility, now is potentially the best time to apply isn't it? As long as you take records of what each site says and don't mind chasing up it all up.
I think I'll give it a few days though.
It'll be a bit embarrassing having a jetstar logo in my wallet, but I'll have to live with that - although I may break out the black electrical tape ;)

The JetStar website doesn't have any information about this offer although after calling them they advised to click through the Qantas site and you will be eligible for the promotion. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with having the details on the JetStar website although with screen shots etc. you should have enough proof if there were any issues.

I've just recently applied for 4 cards a couple of weeks ago so I'm giving this one a pass for now but the 1-for-1 is pretty attractive.

I applied and have received the card. Took about a week from application to receiving.
You have to call up and activate and link with QFF account, so I asked the agent to confirm the offer was on my account before activating and it seems to be all good.
Before applying I also queried whether having other Macquarie cards (e.g. Woolies) precluded one from the offer and was told that only other Jetstar branded cards would do this.
So bye bye woolies, this will be my non Amex for now.

Not sure why you think is is not on the Jetstar website: Get up to 50,000 bonus Qantas Points

I must be out of the loop. I only just received a direct email about this offer today.

Dont drop the ball! You need to subscribe to the Credit Card Forum (not thread). Then you will get updates as often as you choose and shows new threads.

Learn something new everyday - thanks for the tip.

Still not approved. Now asking for a copy of my tax return.

I haven't applied this time around. But did so for a similar deal in 2014. I don't remember there being too many difficulties with the processing of that application.
