I Just Surfed the Jetstar website & found out that on Jetstar "Plus" Bundle for a short haul domestic flight (Ie MEL > ADL or SYD > MEL) now costs $24.00 to add to a booking.
Previously the "Plus" Bundle cost $19.00 to add for a short haul flight & less than 12 months ago the "Plus" Bundle cost $17.00 to add.
However, I note that now included with the domestic "Plus" bundle is a $5.00 F & B credit to be used inflight, whereas this was not previously the case.
So I put it to the people is this a Clever ancillary Revenue raising tactic by Jetstar, considering most people who use the $5.00 F & B credit will likely spend over this amount, or will this lead many Frequent Flyers not to consider using The "Plus" bundle as the cost outweighs the benefits for short haul flights?
The Increase in the "Plus" Bundle is also evident on Long Haul Flights ( ie SYD > HNL) with the "Plus" bundle rising from $50.00 less than 12 months ago to $55.00 & now has increased to $59.00 on this sector. Note no F & B voucher provided as a hot meal is still included like the bundle stipulated previously.
For the Serious Status Credit Chasing Frequent Flyers, I note that to add "Max" to the Business Bundle (Which earn Points & Status credits at Business Class rates has remained the same at $200.00 for a flight of this length (Ie SYD > HNL).
