Jetstar suuuuuucks.... why don’t I learn???

Flying to Sydney from MEL on JQ on QF reward ticket coz it is less points and I’m saving them for an upgrade to LAX next month. Anyway, as per usual, flight is late, yet the idiots at T4 make the announcement “go to gate boarding is about to commence”..... I hike all the way there and what do you think??? No plane. No, it’s still in the sky en route from wherever.....

Don’t know whose fault that it is but I have experienced this a lot with JQ.

It’s not the policy that I take issue with, but the service. Besides, it had been at least a decade since I last flew with Jetstar.

It's a LCC. You get what you pay for. You expected service, that's your problem. They get you from A to B.

This is why I don’t willingly fly Jetstar. In this case, I’d paid a fully flexible Qantas fare but ended up transferred to a Jetstar flight.

Just had the most pleasant Jetstar experience. A flight from BNE-SYD tomorrow has been canceled due to engineering requirements.

They sent out an email informing of this and when you clicked the link it gave a list of options including all available Jetstar flights that day and any Qantas operated service give or take a few hours on either side.

I simply selected the Qantas option, selected confirm and it's all been done. Very impressive service recovery and shows that they are still in some situations protecting people by transferring to QF services.
