Okay, couldn't resist anymore. Booked SYD-HKT (coughet) for 14th December. I was thinking I'd have to pay >$1200 for tickets anywhere in asia after exams finish on the 10th. But $800 for star class one way with double points? I'll do that

Now to find a cheapie return. Hope this doesn't destroy economy for me! This is my first non economy trip ever (and all my long haul bar twice has been in LCC economy!). Got seat 1K, hopefully turns out okay (I'm not too tall, and I like looking out the window).

Interesting the sale fares to Bangkok have been creeping up over the last two months. This fare was $229 two months ago now $329...still a good price but....

Dont usually see a Hawaii sale...Baggage included on all connections (QF). Although have a look at booking flights individually or even with JQ and you might be able to push that price down a little. Ie-Use JQ's 10% guarantee and get a $30 fare from ADL-SYD against Tiger's current sale...

I saw some BKK to MEL fares for under 10K Baht around 25-30Dec 2009.
Someone was not able to find Virgins 8000 Baht specials out of HKT.
Pretty good, considering BKK to SIN is about the same price.
