Not happy about this!

Jetstar is moving to T4 on 24 October. This will make lounge access more problematic and barely worthwhile when travelling Jetstar out of Singapore.

I only have one 3K flight in the pipeline and was planning some more but after this I'm tempted not to. It also makes QF to 3K transits much more annoying!

Will be interesting to see if they have a lounge available for Jetstar Business and Max bundle passengers. Very surprised by this.

I remember having to walk from the QF lounge to the other end of T1, SkyTrain to one end of T2, walking to one of the F gates, go down to the ground level, bus to T4, walk to CX lounge and all that in reverse... The other T1/T4 in MEL seems like a stone's throw in comparison!

A move to T4 would likely muck up a lot of tight connections not only with QF but also BA/AY and the many others they codeshare with.

I haven't been to T4 yet at SIN. Would it be possible to use the Qantas lounge/s and then walk or take a train over to T4 if flying Jetstar from there? Or are they completely separate, detached terminals?

Yes - see my post above

Not surprised they are resisting. T4 is very much an end point terminal - just about about all point to point or spoke to hub carriers, I imagine most of them don’t (except Air Asia connecting to themselves) have much in the way of connecting traffic. JQ/3K do though with a range of carriers, not just QF or themselves.

3K can be a handy connection to/from QF.

I don't really care too much about lounge access but it's not easy to get to T4. In saying that there aren't too many viable alternatives if going via SIN.

Unfortunately this is Singapore.
Seems so ...
Mr Brendan Sobie of Sobie Aviation said the move would be significant from a local consumer perspective because Jetstar includes Jetstar Asia, which is the only local airline that is not part of the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, accounting for 6 per cent of Changi Airport's traffic before the pandemic.

I wonder what QF group as a whole accounts for though, might be more sway if they want to start rocking the boat
As Clifford said this is Singapore. Would you really want to rock the boat of a wholly owned subsidiary of the Singapore Government Finance Department? You may well find yourself outside the boat asking to be let back onboard.

Jetstar Asia has withered away into nothing. Entered the pandemic with 17 aircraft. Now down to 7, those missing all got sent to Australia and added onto VH Register, plus a few back to the lessor. I really don't think they are going back.

Scooter will have nearly 50 A320/1s by the end of the year. Plus 20 787s. Huge operation in SIN.

Indeed - it would seem that 3K is not supported locally and that it heavily depends on connecting EK/QF/OW traffic?

Surely moving to T4 would be the nail in the coffin as without the connecting traffic I can’t see it surviving.
