JessicaTam has decided to take the LCC option.

Mal, can I interest you in an op-up?

What time does OLCI open?

Speaking of Online Check in, JQ36 opens at 9am tomorrow.

OLCI is open, and it seems my two pax have already put in upgrade requests!

As long as the op-up doesn't involve riding in the boot ;)

Whilst the boot is spacious and inspired by Marc Newson, I think ill let you take a seat.
(on second thoughts as we are flying JQ, perhaps you should go in the boot to prepare for accurate flight conditions!)

Ok, so 6am on the corner of Bourke and Spencer streets (Bourke street side)

3 Pax:
LiamR
Anchew
Mal

I've got no experience at MEL, at OOL the staff knew exactley what to do, and there's even a dedicated check in line for Dom/Int flights as it's a common occurance.

I'm going to insist JQ domestic staff do it, otherwise we will have to line up for JQ36 checkin, I think it might be open anyway by the time we get there? Hopefully we can get the JQ35 boarding pass too so we can save time connecting in Sydney.

You may insist, but as past experience has shown, you'll just get directed back to T2.

Are there any other WPs who feel like a day trip from MEL to SYD on Saturday (and vice versa perhaps?)... We appear to be one WP short on JQ36 for guesting rights, and it would be great if someone else was able to jump in.

JQ fares are $129 ow, although Jetstar Best Price Guarantee might be able to be applied with Tiger fares...

I was going to go but I am working on the RCH appeal tomorrow and won't finish til OMG o'clock plus other things have come up the next day..

Like magic.

I had some time to kill so I went for a walk, JQ Service Desk at T2 can issue them but don't have any D stickers, QF regular check in "does not have any" QF F check in also in has no stickers, however they'll call up Qantas check in outside who will then give them to you.

Prizes for the earliest to check in?

Yeah, they told me they can't print them because they only print on shopper docket BP's which customs wont' accept.

The kiosk will actually let you check in, and get all the way to the end and spit out a "THIS IS NOT A BOARDING PASS"

FWIW I'm in 46B on JQ36 and 44D on JQ35

Should that be the YCC option? At least I get exit row seating. ;)

So what is the prize for first to check in? Apart from a lack of sleep, that is!

I am in 26G/27G

Sent from my iThing.
Why, because iCan.

I'm back in 36K and I believe anchew is in 36J for JQ35

Should be a fun day. I'm flying out of Mel for home at 7pm so if anyone wants to grab a drink in the DJ lounge before they leave the airport in MEL l'll be up for it.

Ive used the shoppa dockets before and all that happened was I got another BP at the gate to scan. Customs didn't seem to care about the BP.

That's what I said. But I was told staff are getting angry with all of these 2D barcode boarding passes and have asked not to print them anymore. Grr!

Luckily mine are 3D.
