Don't let Lindsay see that ;)

It was actually aimed at Mal and his third time broken Asus computer.

Why would I pay out Lindsay? <Moderator Edit> He is a true gentlemen in every possible way, I often wish I could be just like him. </Moderator Edit>

Lindsay's a great guy (hi, Lindsay!). I have nothing but empathy for his current annoyances, as I have them too :)

What time are people thinking off arriving for JQ36? I was planning on jumping on the 5:45am skybus. Too early?

Liam,

One issue will be trains, not sure if they are running at that time..

Yikes. That is early but i can be persuaded... I think. Still planning on staying at rydges in town so getting to the skybus shouldn't be too bad.

Yeah I checked, the first train on my line arrives at 5:30am... Not sure if I'll catch it or not. But it's a good starting point.

What time does JQ domestic check in open, that's how everybody get's their BPs, right?

I technically can catch the train that arrives at Southern Cross at 5:30am, but that means catching the 3:57 bus (replacing trains) from Narre Warren and waking up at 3am! My next bus/train leaves/arrives 30min later - why don't we aim for that one instead, arriving at Southern Cross at 6am and on the Skybus soon afterwards? Though it still means I have to catch a 4:27 bus

Sounds like a plan to me.

Well, I think I can help as I live very close to the city and am happy to pick people up at southern cross and we all car to the airport. :) Its hardly out of the way and I need Mal my lounge buddy to guest me in anyway.
So 6am(or anytime that suits better) Departure from Southern cross in the Reload-Mobile. I can take 4 others with me, likewise can do on the return.
Seat 1A, 2A, 2B and 2C are all available.
That way at least we are all together at the airport and can guest easy.

Any takers?

ROFLMAO - this I gotta see. Does your watch even have those hours on it?

2B might be a problem due to WP shadow

Looks like I have been persuaded!

JQ have a 0710 flight so check in should be open about 6ish. Does OLCI work for a T2 departing domestic flight?

See you about 0630. :D:D:D

you can OLCI, but you won't get a BP - you need to get the D sticker and ID check.

You can OLCI but it doesn't print you a BP, it only prints a 'you're checked in, please proceed to umm check-in, to get your boarding pass'.

And as a side note, why drive to the airport? If there's that many of you, meet at Southern Cross and cab it (then you can all drink as well, else what's the point of an F Lounge run :P).

The only certain way to get BP's seems to be if you're doing a QF/JQ combo, in which case, the QP will spit out the day-return SYD-MEL BP. Every time i've tried to get my BP for SYD-MEL at MEL for JQ35 i've been told 'can't do it'. That's at the QP, the J lounge, the QF check-in desks, the QF F Check-in and the JQ Check in and the JQ service desk (although i've heard reports to the contrary, i've never been able to).

For those of you doing JQ36 up, are you able to simply use the transit area at SYD to avoid going out and back again, and get your BP in between? Just curious :)

My first train or bus is not until later in the morning, so it's a cab for me. I am the other side of the airport to the city, so no point meeting the others there either unfortunately. I am just timing my cab run with when the others arrive so I may be signed in (dragons permitting).

I think that would be a good idea, happy to split the cost of parking at MEL, too.

Any other takers?

I've got no experience at MEL, at OOL the staff knew exactley what to do, and there's even a dedicated check in line for Dom/Int flights as it's a common occurance.

I'm going to insist JQ domestic staff do it, otherwise we will have to line up for JQ36 checkin, I think it might be open anyway by the time we get there? Hopefully we can get the JQ35 boarding pass too so we can save time connecting in Sydney.

Yep, save a seat for me too
