It tends to be that you'd send a PM to someone else who is going and arrange contact details and meeting points with them. Of course the other way to do it is simply look for those with the AFF bag tags, but that could have you wandering up and down the airport for quite some time, esp on runs where people are unlikely to take any serious sort of baggage.

Personally I'm no longer a fan of simply publishing my mobile number on public websites either as I've had my fair share of deep breathing phone calls (always from private numbers as well, thus the reason I no longer answer private numbers) :evil:

Okay, after the instructions from markis10 and others earlier in the thread, I have now done my research and a little more comfortable about what I need to do.

TT fares are currently $71.95 (raw fare) for the MEL/SYD flights and $59.95 for the return (ll in $131.90), so have signed up for the emails and/or await people here advising a fare deal.

Looks like I'll fly down on Thurs night or Fri AM for meetings with clients and stay Fri & Sat nights. Will need to fly back Sunday evening after the events - any idea about time markis10 (I'll fly BNE/MEL/BNE on DJ for ATA and FlyAhead access - plus that will get me very close to my Gold re-qual).

Need TT to step up and have a fare deal for price match on Flounging. Should be able to attend Sun events - markis10, any chance of pricing the DC3 flights and tours/lunch?

Nice to see a Hilton mattress run is required - couldn't secure Getaway deal on multi-nights (what a pity )

I hate these cases where you have a really good deal and by the time you get the ok it has gone, I suspect SWMBO checks the airfares herself and waits to give the green light till they are too high for me to even consider doing the trip :shock:

I notice the AMB rate ($305/night) is the same as the BAR now.

Yes, those prices are the same today as they were yesterday, thus the reason for my comment:

Need TT to step up and have a fare deal for price match on Flounging.

TT528 MEL/SYD at 8.55 or TT542 at 10.00 (either of which I need for price matching) are showing $82.95 and $71.95. For the return, TT595 is only $44.95. All in $116.90 still isn't bad for a Flounge run. Will have to go to see what J* are charging (edit: $89 and $69 = $158). So that means the J* cost with the Price Beat Guarantee will fall to $105.21 (after 10% discount). I'm happy to pull the trigger on them, just debating the "opportunity cost" of waiting for a "better" fare deal. Somebody has to pay for the FLounge, munitalP certainly won't be

Okay, now that my MEL trip to see clients has been confirmed, I've pulled the trigger on the JQ36 & JQ35 flight - all booked. $118. Got onto the Price Beat line after 5 seconds on hold and got to practice my smattering of Japanese with Yuki-san.

My return flight on Sunday needs to be at 4pm (VA) to get home in time, so I won't be doing any of the tours post lunch.

Any confirmation or details markis10 on the itinerary for Sunday?
