I was in HKG yesterday, both The Pier and The Wing are both undergoing renovations. Dragon lady in both locations suggested I use the QF F lounge instead.

I just want to clarify the above statement.

The F Wing (and presume the F Pier) are both still open. The Wing was fine, and did not seem to be well patronised (compared to a very full and very noisy QF F lounge at Sydney on Sunday morning!!).

I entered the Wing from the level 7 walkway, and you can see the scaffolding/closure at the J end of the floorspace.

I also walked around to the QF F lounge (other end of the same level). Both were quite underwhelming in a sense

The ladies at the F Wing said I could visit the Cabin, but it was classless and inferred that I'd have to mingle with....

Can anyone assist me in SYD domestic to guest Mrs_Gimlet into the club on Fri 10th June? I am unable to travel with her and she is on an el cheapo (works for a charity) and will probably have to hang around the airport for a few hours. She gets dropped off by a coworker and cannot confirm leaving time from the Shire, so she is safely booked on a 2030. She's normally at the airport from about 430-5pm.

Ah, yes, it was exciting even with the refurb. Even got to use the new purple lane.

I was a bit cryptic with my comment, as I don't like to advertise these things too much. But my reason for going to BNE was an unhappy one. Did get the see the whole family again even long lost family - the silver lining.

Had to go back 3 times asking for smoked salmon and seafood salad.

Just had a quick look through the thread and couldn't see any matching entries, but on the off chance someone is flying through MEL with [-]anytime[/-] arrivals access between 12:00 and 15:00 on Monday 20th June, my sister would really appreciate a comfortable spot to sit and contemplate... assuming QF is flying on that day.

She's on QF624 to BNE at 15:05.
