Bump!
For those of you not in the super awesome AFF Facebook group , as posted there I've now reached LTS :)
I joined QFF in 1999, didn't fly a huge amount until 2008 and went from NB to WP soon thereafter. Thanks to finding this site I think I might make LTG a fair bit quicker ;)
Great effort Princess Fiona. I am still a while away, but getting closer thanks to AFFers and their generosity.

Yes, it took me a fair time to get LTS about 4 years, but only about 18 months reach LTG....It helps when you travel frequently from PER to the east coast in J....
Congrats.......

Congrats to Princess Fiona! I still value my LTS although have managed to stay above that level since i got it a while back, so have not yet needed its silveriness. Naturally am aspiring to LTG and am getting there faster thanks to the helpful tips and tricks from the savvy members of this forum. Keep chasing those SCs!

Good work PF. Similar profile here - joined in 2001 (just after Ansett collapsed so like many I have a Sep year end) did some pootling around NSW but not much really. Bumped up to Gold in 2006 but switched to AA 2007 - 2008. Back to QF as a comped WP in 2009 and went from about 1800 SCs to LTS in Feb 2011 and just tipped 12,865 SCs. Not sure when I will hit LTG due to a reduction in int'l travel next year.

How did you get a comp to WP? Your travel patterns must have been very favourable to QF to get them to do so. My understanding is that comping is an extremely rare exception (certainly compared to what Virgin have offered).

I was an AA EXP and getting coughpy seats so asked out TA how I could get better seats - they spoke to QF who said we can make him a WP. This coincided with my boss' boss being stuck at SYD for almost 8 hours on a paid F flight and QF refused to let him transfer to another carrier. He threatened to take all of our business away from QF. He made CL shortly after that call and I just happened to prod QF at the same time.

Congrats to all. It's an important milestone

Woo Hoo:lol: I've finally reached the underwhelming, giddy heights of LTS as of my most recent flight yesterday! Lucky me! LOL!

Indeed. welcome to the club. When you get the totally underwhelming letter you'll know you've made it.

I've been a QFF since 95, but didn't do much work travel til the end of 2005. It's increased every year since then.
Note that only eligible travel since September 1996 (when Tier Credits were introduced) will contribute to QFF life time status. I had over ~200 flights before then ... :-|

The letter was underwhelming in its underwhelming-ness. It would be nice if subsequent cards had some "LTS" designator, much like US FF programs include "MM" (Million Miler) on their cards.

I only had a couple of QFF flights in 95, so no huge loss for me!

Had not realized my flights to America from 1978 to 1996 did not count until I read serfty's post. That cut about 40 trips to Los Angeles that I had always wondered about.

Congrats to Princess Fiona and Eddie Bauer on the recent attainment of such a worthwhile benefit - they'll never be Bronze again ;)
