Day 10
Penultimate day of the trip, spent shopping in Osaka, mainly in BIC Camera Namba, Daimaru Shinsaibashi and Takashimaya Namba.

I didn't like Osaka at all during this trip....only after #2 I realised the problem. You see, the Namba / Dotonbori / Shisaibashi area is very touristy. Streets were full of packaged tours and the like, very noisy very busy.
Subsequent trips I stayed at Umeda area and it was much more to my liking.

Only pictures of food on this day...

Wakasaya, seafood donburi restaurant.

Day 11
I had a late afternoon flight to HKG then an overnight one back to MEL.
Took a Nankai train to Rinkutown in the morning.

There you have it, my first Japan trip.
More traditional sites I guess... Didn't include Tokyo as I only had a week and half - who knows, maybe I knew I would go back?;)

Looks to have been a great first trip. Plenty of sights and lots of interesting foods. Thanks for writing it up.

Thanks once again. Fantastic photos and really informative

This was more of a traditional Kansai region trip, if you are going to Kyoto I think definitely would be helpful in terms of which sites to visit:D much as I won't be going anywhere near Kinkakuji nowadays, can't deny it was a spectacular sight to behold.
